Clear filters Peaceful haven
VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 We stayed on pitch 78 which had direct access to the lake, a water point within 1 minute and spotless facilities within a few minutes walk.
Mark showed us to our pitch and couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely, quiet, friendly site in a great location. Worth noting the early morning alarm call from the geese and a very slight traffic noise in the background but neither impacted our stay in the slightest. Hope to return soon!
Excellent stay
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Had a lovely stay wished the bar was open earlier. Facilities were so clean, couldn't fault anything. Hosts were knowledgeable and very friendly.
Superb stay
Single Axle Caravan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 The site is so clean and well maintained and the shower block is immaculate. The bar in the evening is five star with the dogs saying hello to any newcomers. Special mention for Mark, couldn't be more helpful, we shall return. I caught a lovely 15 lb carp as well, superb place.

Lovely campsite
Single Axle Caravan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Gatton Waters is a really quiet and peaceful site in a great location for exploring.
The lake and surrounding area are really lovely, great for walking the dog. The staff/owner were very friendly and helpful.
We loved our stay and hope to go back sometime and would definitely recommend.

An outstanding place to stay
VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 We hadn't been to Norfolk before and came across this campsite by chance. First appearances really count where we were offered an exceptional warm welcome. The campsite is peaceful overlooking a beautiful lake.
Campers were friendly, stopping to chat with us. Staff are welcoming and exceptionally friendly. Toilets and showers were clean and presentable within easy reach. The campsite felt safe. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return next year.

Good location, but really quiet evening and night.
Peaceful adult only site Single Axle Caravan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 Positives: beautiful location, lake side pitches, peaceful and clean toilet/shower blocks.
Negatives: checking in system over complicated and unnecessary. Arrivals were backed up along the access drive, blocking the main road due to each guest being greeted at reception and handed key fobs, electric cards and talked through 3 sheets of paperwork. Then a man on a bicycle had to show you to your pitch to tell you how to position your car, caravan and awning exactly as he said, as well as explaining how the electric meter worked.
A simpler more efficient system would be an access code and pitch number given in confirmation email so you could drive straight in and pitch up.
Why every pitch has to be identical is bizarre and takes away the pleasure of setting up camp to suit the guests needs. All pitches were very small and close together. The exact positioning the man instructed you to follow meant all caravans and awnings were side on the lake and facing the car of the pitch next to you, rather than facing the beautiful lake! As he insisted, the jockey wheel was placed in a concrete marker it. Meant your caravan was at the front of the pitch and if you wanted to sit outside and enjoy the view of the lake, you were then right by the road where vehicles and dog walkers passed regularly - so no privacy! A very strange set up on what is a beautiful site - shame.
The most perfect campsite!
VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 We arrived in glorious sunshine and were directed to our pitch by Mark. The view was outstanding as were all the facilities, which were spotlessly clean throughout our stay.
Mark is one of the friendliest, most attentive hosts we have ever come across and the man literally never stops, even running the onsite bar in the evenings with good humour.
We can not recommend this site highly enough and will definitely return. Thank you for a fantastic weekend.

Very friendly helpful team headed by Mark. Nothing too much trouble. Everywhere clean and inviting.
Watched fishing enthusiasts catch some whoppers (all returned to the lake after being weighed and photographed).
If you like Geese and ducks look no further; hundreds and hundreds of them comfortably living amongst the campers.
HIGHLY recommend Gatton Waters whether you fish or just want to chill.

Quiet and relaxing
VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Owner was friendly, welcoming and happy to take time to chat. The site was lovely and quiet, apart from the many ducks and geese on the lake, bringing up their young and making a general commotion, but hey! they're nice to watch.
Facilities were always clean whatever time we used them, and never felt busy as the site wasn't full anyway.
We liked the metered EHU. Much cheaper than the usual standard 'same price for every unit ' that you get at most sites.
We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here and would definitely recommend to others wanting a chilled stay in the area.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Our first trip away in our new camper and what a lovely welcome when we arrived from owner Mark and his able assistant Janice (I think got right name).
The most beautiful spot and warm welcome.
Our pick 75 was right by the lake so sat having breakie with beautiful view over lake , all the ducks, geese and chicks.💖
Topped off with a small bar open wed-sun evening , Mark carries tables chairs outside so everyone could enjoy the evening sun and even watched sunset from his garden.
Such a perfect little family run gem.
We will definitely be back, thank you Mark & your team x

Motorhome - Optional Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Stayed for two nights with two dogs and don't fish, and loved it.
Lovely walk round the lake listening to the geese. Pub opens at 6pm, free Wi-Fi that worked in my motorhome. Spotless toilets and showers, was shown my pitch and how to use the electric card.
All in all, a brilliant stay and I'll definitely be back 😀 my only dislike would be that they shut in the winter 😒 Would love to see the lake then.

Relaxing just watching people fishing and watching the wildlife.

It was a last minute booking on our way further into Norfolk. We was surprised at the setting plenty of open space, quite, wild life, very clean facilities, I could go on we booked for next year before leaving site.
