Beautiful site views
VW-Type Campervan - Valley View Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Beautiful site views, clean, looked after, generous facilities, dog friendly, quiet.
The site is in a beautiful location with views across the sea. The facilities were clean, well designed and generous - never had to wait for a loo or shower. The staff were all friendly and there was a catering van for Fri - Mon morning, and a pizza van with tasty pizza Mon afternoon.
The site is walking distance to Lynmouth and Watersmeet, but that is down a steep hill that you have to get back up again - alternatively, both locations are an easy drive with plenty of parking. The site was nice and quiet - the lack of children's play area and entertainment may put some people off.
Very dog friendly with a large enclosed field and a dog shower - just be aware of lots of ticks in the area.

Great all-round camping experience
Medium Tent - Beggar's Field Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2025 Great location, quiet and pleasant campsite with excellent facilities. Staff are all very helpful, friendly, and personable. Bakery goods from reception each morning are delicious, and fake Airstream guy does lovely smoothies and fries to die for.
Other campers were all very friendly with a wide range of nationalities making the social side even more enjoyable.
Our pitch (22) was ample in area for our needs, though a little uneven no worse than any others we've come across. Having the hedge and trees on the windward side helped reduce the effects of strong winds in the first couple of days.
It's a place we will return to, as a base to further explore the towns, villages, and harbours along the North Devon and Somerset coast. Dunster Castle and water mill is spectacular (worth a whole day to visit) and the village too is picture postcard, with little gems of gardens, the tithe barn and dove cote tucked away in the side streets.
We had a fantastic stay enjoying a great mix of exploring harbours, coves, and waterfalls (Glen Lyn George is well worth a visit, and the owner is a mine of information!) alongside the spectacular scenery of Exmoor on the doorstep.

Beautiful site

The only thing to comment on is the drone that hovered around the site each evening, this was a bit off putting.

Regarding the drone, we completely understand how it might have been a little off-putting. We did have a professional photographer on-site capturing footage of the park over a few days to help showcase its surroundings and facilities, as a standard policy we do not allow guests to fly drones on park. That said, we apologise if this disrupted the peace or affected your stay in any way.

Relaxing
Single Axle Caravan - The View Fully Serviced Grass Pitches Jul 2025 The site is nice & quiet, very relaxing. The toilet & shower facilities are very clean & modern.
The baked goods from reception are very tasty & freshly baked. The snack van serves a great bacon roll & has a variety of great tasting food.
The only down side for us was nothing around the site eg shops, pubs etc, everywhere was a car ride away & no bus service. The snack van could have been open every day rather than just Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday (wasn't open all day either, some days it was only open for a couple of hours)

Lovely site
VW-Type Campervan - The View Fully Serviced Grass Pitches Jun 2025 We booked the view pitch and it didn't disappoint we had a fabulous view out to sea. The site was lovely clean and had a perfect field to walk the dogs.
The showers were clean and spacious and we loved using the dishwasher what a luxury!
We were also very pleased to be near the airstream cocktail bar and sampled one or two! The burgers were delicious too!
We would highly recommend the site to our friends.

Fantastic site and location!
Large Tent - Bay View Electric Grass and Gravel Pitches Jun 2025 A lovely well kept site with friendly staff.
Extremely clean shower/toilet areas. The shop in the reception area was well equipped with fresh baguettes and pastries. The on site van had cocktails, shakes, burgers and breakfast rolls.
The large dog walking field was great for our dogs.

Superb site
Camping Pod - Camping Pods with Valley Views (Dog Friendly) May 2025 Very peaceful site with excellent facilities.
Spotlessly clean, modern shower block, grounds well-maintained with nice touches like a dog walking field, herb garden and dog shower.

Single Axle Caravan - The View Large Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2025 Lovely site with beautiful views over Lynmouth and the bay, roads to the site are quite narrow and hilly but we expected that anyway, the site is very clean and all the staff were very friendly, from the site down to Lynmouth or Lynton only takes about 15 minutes in the car, there is a a tuck wagon on site which cooks chips, burgers and breakfast bites if you want, we tried the food and was happy with the quality and portion size, if I had one recommendation to the site owners it would be to adjust the showers and washbasin taps so they run longer rather than having to press the valve every 10/15 seconds, having said that we will go back to this site, by the way they have a great field for the dogs to run free although be aware of the ticks this time of year.

Great stop off for Porlock Weir
VW-Type Campervan - Beggar's Field Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 Location of the site was fantastic with great views. The toilet/ shower block was super clean and the showers were nice and hot.
The cocktail van was a great addition with cheesy chips and breakfast rolls at very good prices.
The walk down to Lynmouth was very nice, albeit quite a climb on the way back. The staff were all super friendly, would definitely recommend it.

Lynmouth retreat
Small Tent - Beggar's Field Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2025 Great location and a good walk into Lynmouth and Lynton.
Walking shoes required to walk the route into and from Lynmouth as the path is slippery in the wet and steep in places. Walk not suitable with people who have mobility issues.

Our opinion! Motorhome - Beggar's Field Electric Grass Touring Pitches Apr 2025 Though the staff were very attentive, I'm afraid this site is not for us! It was very difficult to get to as the roads were very narrow, extremely steep and very winding, not ideal for a 7.5m motorhome towing a car!
Also, the pitch was on a slope and we'd forgotten our levelling ramps 🤦♀️
