Best campsite I have stayed at.

Wonderful stay. Friendly helpful greeting. Beautifully layout.Toilet block best I have come across. Gorgeous pub within 5 minutes. Tip is to book online ahead of visit, gets booked up fast.

Amazing

Amazing little campsite. Greeted with a smile, the owner is amazing, very helpful, full of knowledge, very approachable. The site was spotless, well taken care of. Toilets, showers, again, were spotless. Would highly recommend staying here 😊

Perfect!

Everything about this place was spot on! The ground and grass are very well maintained making it perfect for pitching. The cleanliness of all the facilities was outstanding, better than a lot of hotels, will definitely be going there again !

Super stay

Just home from a cracking 3 night stay at Little Acre campsite. Paul was nothing but helpful and very friendly. The site is spacious and never overcrowded. The facilities are the best I have ever seen on a campsite. The whole family (6 adults 2 dogs) have had a brilliant break away - we will definitely be back 😊

Excellent first time visit

Had excellent time at Little Acre camping and were blessed with great weather. The site is excellent along with lovely toilet and shower block although if site busy there are only 2 showers and 3 toilets at the camping side of the site although can use facilities at caravan park area. The owner was so helpful and friendly and luckily we were able to book an extra night onto our stay. He justifiably takes great pride in his site and this is obvious to see. The Lancaster canal is just beside the site and is a very pleasant walk. There is a hotel across the road for a drink or meal and bus stop is also there. It's a beautiful part of the country and would have no hesitation in going back.

Great site!

What a lovely site! We were greeted by the owner upon arrival and picked which pitch we wanted. Paul was extremely friendly and helpful, there was a couple of glitches (none of which was Paul's fault!) and he immediately sorted anything we mentioned. The site is in a great location, we walked down the canal to Holme for lunch, and there's so much to explore within the Lakes. The facilities were immaculate! There's a perfectly furnished toilet / shower room, laundry room and washing up facilities. The site is dog friendly, clean and very well maintained. The ice cream man even paid a visit! We also ate at The Crooklands Hotel across the road and the food there was incredible.

Peace and quiet and very clean and well kept

This has been our 3rd year in a row where we have come to this campsite. Every time we see Paul, he is very welcoming and friendly and accommodating. He makes sure that the campsite has plenty of space for everyone, and that it is not packed out like sardines, and that really helps and enables everyone to relax and chill. As always, the facilities are really well kept and clean/tidy. The complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash is a nice touch to excellent facilities too. We find that this campsite is ideal location for accessing the M6 if you want to go further north into the North Lakes, and the A590 for most of the South Lakes and anything in-between! One of the best things from this campsite, is the Crooklands pub across the road, we are never disappointed with the meals they serve there, always generous portions and so delicious! Thanks again Paul for having us, we hope to come back soon.

Very good campsite

Campsite we found to be very well kept. Modern shower and toilet facilities stocked with shower goodies which could be helpful. Water on each pitch was fab, don't have to walk round for water. Good size pitches. Will definitely recommend and pay further visits.

Cracking little site

From pulling up and checking in welcomed with a friendly smile and warm welcome. The couple that run it are extremely friendly and welcoming along worth being informative about where everything is on site and off. Toilet and shower block on the tent field (didn't use the other one) was extremely nice and clean. Would 100% be back here again.

Great campsite

Great friendly and peaceful site. Bus stop over the road and a pub serving good food. Lovely stay and we will be back!

Great site close to good pub/restaurant. Clean and of an exceptionally high standard throughout. Host was very welcoming and so helpful.

Happy

Lovely place and very well cared for, washing facilities are brilliant. Grass is short and ideal for tent. Main road nearby is noisy but you can get used to that. M6 is ideally close for great access. I can't fault the campsite at all and Paul, the owner, was very polite and helpful.

Excellent site for all

We had a fantastic time at Little Acre. This was our first time camping just the 2 of us and it was in a great spot, lovely weather and very nice facilities. The staff are very friendly and informative. We went for drinks and food in Kirkby Lonsdale and were able to get the bus and also use Uber to get back from the Plough, which was also very nice. The only downside to our visit was that we had to go home after 2 nights! We definitely hope to return to Little Acre at some point.

A fantastic site near the Lake District

A perfect campsite for our stay in the Lake District! Really close and easy access to the villages and towns of the Lake District. Immaculate facilities that we were extremely clean and very much a luxury for camping. Paul was really friendly and helpful, and love to give our wonderful dog Pip a fuss. The pub over the road had lovely food and was also dog friendly in the bar area. Make sure to book in advance for food! We will definitely be back!

Great spot

Great place to stay. Not overcrowded when full. Host was lovely. Good spot to explore. Pub over the road food not so good which was a shame. Definitely come again.

Excellent!

We stayed here for 3 nights and can honestly not recommend this site highly enough. Spotlessly clean, perfect pitch and the shower block and toilet facilities are the best I've ever seen on a camping site. Paul and Sarah, the owners, are super friendly and excellent hosts. Ideally situated 1 minute walk to the local pub who serve fabulous food, situated next to the Lancaster canal for beautiful walks, 15 min drive to Kendal one way, Kirkby Lonsdale the other and approx 30 min to Lake Windermere.

Excellent site

Excellent site with the best toilet/shower facilities we have come across. The field consists of top grade grass and the owner of the site allows each pitch to rejuvenate before allowing someone to pitch again meaning no muddy pitches. The owners are really nice and go above and beyond to look after and welcome their clients. The location is perfect for exploring the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and even Blackpool and Liverpool all being within an hour/hour and a half. You do need to pay 20p for a 3min shower but based on the facilities that is no problem and in fact was a bit of fun to see if everyone in our group could achieve it using 1x20p (which we all did). Little gem

So glad we found this little gem of a site. Ideal location to set base for a few days visiting places close by. We managed Carnforth, Kendal, Bowness on Windermere, Ambleside, Morecombe and Lancaster. Lovely welcome by Paul and although the site was full over the weekend. there was no noise. The facilities were excellent. We will certainly visit the site again without a doubt. Thank you.
