Bank House Farm Review

We loved our 3 night stay at Bank House Farm. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Facilities were spotless and easy to use. The atmosphere was friendly and warm. We loved the added touch of homemade stone baked pizzas on a Saturday. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Site

Very nice site, with very friendly staff and clean facilities. Great location with close proximity to multiple walks from the site.

we only stayed one night but it was absolutely beautiful. the facilities were very clean and the shop was well stocked. all the staff were so helpful, polite and friendly. There is lots of drinking water points around the site too, which was good in this heat. I would definitely recommend, and we will definitely be revisiting.

Amazing camping spot

This site was amazing and had such good walks near by. The Manifold inn which is just across the road had amazing food and service. The campsite had amazing facilities with fridge freezers and showers. We stayed in the meadow camp and was right by the river which was lovley. Highly recommend Bank house farm.

Great for a short stay

Had a great short (if slightly cold and wet at times) break at Bank House Farm, Our second visit. Lovely site. Very clean with excellent facilities. Great (very busy) local pub (Manifold) just outside the site. We didn’t venture far. Had wonderful walk up the Roaches. Getliffes Yard in Leek for a much needed hot chocolate!

Excellent Stay

We had an excellent stay. Staff were extremely friendly. Facilities were of a very high standard. The location was perfect with gorgeous views and within walking distance of the stunning village of Hartington. If looking for food off-site, I recommend the breakfast and Pizza van available over the weekend. If wanting pub food, we couldn't get a table and were told you needed to pre-book for all pubs in the area. We were lucky that we had options for food in the campervans, as the weather wasn't in our favour for a barbeque.

Exceptional site and facilities

Absolutely beautiful location fantastic staff/team are really friendly, facilities shower/toilet block were excellent and couldn't get any closer to a great pub Definitely recommend hopefully return some day soon Thanks so much for your hospitality

Great bank holiday break

Great place to stay. Everything you can wish for. Clean facilities, friendly staff and plenty of places to visit locally.

Lovely campsite - will definitely be back!

I stayed at Bank House Farm in my VW Caddy camper with my dog, on one of the hardstanding pitches near the river – and absolutely loved it. The location is peaceful and scenic, with great walks right from the site, which was perfect for both of us. The pitch was level and easy to access, and being close to the river made it extra relaxing – ideal for a quiet coffee in the morning or just chilling in the evening. The whole site felt really well cared for, and the facilities were super clean with good hot showers. It’s a great base for exploring the Peak District without the crowds, and the atmosphere was friendly and laid-back. Staff were helpful, and it’s very dog-friendly, which made the stay even better. Already looking forward to coming back!

The River adds such a fab ambiance and, as you say, just to sit a relax with a coffee and listening to the water is so relaxing. Our dog walking field is a real asset with being so large and dogs can have a run around (subject to fellow campers being in the field). Good site overall, but...

Bit noisy at night where we were by the steps, early morning and later on. Shower spouts are too high and spray the whole cubicle when its turned on, water goes off every 5 seconds which is annoying, maybe change that to 30 seconds. Good pub nearby with nice food, campsite shop was good, and the staff were very helpful and couldn't do more. Lots of walks from the campsite and the pitches were big, which is a bonus. Would I be back...absolutely.

The shower head is movable, so maybe someone had pointed it outwards, they are supposed to go for 30secs on one push but sometimes they don't, a double push helps (tip for next time). Super site

Only stayed one night in our Land Rover Camper, but found the site excellent - very clean, extremely quiet (it was October) and the pub across the road was a bonus.

Great stay

Stayed for two nights in the meadow field and it was great! Only a short walk to the main site where you have everything you need, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Shower/toilet block was clean, great pub across the road. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

First trip ever

Excellent site, very helpful warden (Paul) got us sorted quickly given we were first timers and not sure of some of the intricacies! Everything you needed was there and all very clean. Only very slight drawback, was the noise from motor bikers racing through the village, but nothing the site can do about that. Good pub literally over the road! Lovely area!

Fantastic site

Stayed as solo, older woman + dog and we loved this site. Excellently positioned for public transport and beautiful, interesting walks. Brilliant field for dog to run off lead. Great little on site shop. Plenty water points, great, clean facilities, knowledgeable hosts, a friendly atmosphere. Peaceful and surrounded by handy, decent pub and very short walk to visitor centre and cafe. Enjoyable walk into Hartington using wardens easy to understand, printed map and plenty of other nearby destinations by bus, foot or car. The site felt safe and well managed whilst remaining relaxed. I hope to return. Loved this site.

Fantastic site

Beautiful site, facilities are modern, beautiful and clean. Spacious plots and great location to the manifold trail. Lots of space for the dogs to run off the lead and area for children to play. Pub across the road lovely food, best to book table if on a weekend. Will definitely be returning.

Virgin travels

Wow, as beginners at travelling around in a motorhome we never expected to find such very high standards. The welcome, the staff, the ease of finding things and such facilities that far exceeded our expectations. Everywhere was spotless, clean and fresh. Extras such as being able to purchase breakfast and pizzas.

Good campsite

Really liked this campsite. A great base for walking the surrounding hills and countryside. A pub across the road (recommend you book a table if you want to eat there). The staff were really friendly and the campsite was quiet. Thoroughly recommend.
