Happy glamping

We had a fabulous 4 nights. There are a couple of things that I think need mentioning. We were disappointed that the shop wasn't open as it's quite a long drive to the nearest supermarket and it would have been nice if the cafe/bar had been open at night. We had an incident with the barrier as reception hadn't logged the registration plate. This was frustrating but was sorted the next day

Hi Heather, so pleased you had a lovely stay. Apologies for the barrier! Our shop will be opening on the 21st March, but there is a Spar shop a few minutes drive away which stocks a lot of different items that the usual big supermarkets do. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Great site, disappointing customer care

Lovely site and the updated shower and toilet rooms are excellent. Used the cafe for takeaway pizza and great value and tasty. Pitches excellent. However, experience tainted by experience beyond our control. Issue with car had led to it stopping without warning which, as we are both in our 70s, was more than worrying. Thankfully. a local garage said they would look at it. They could only do this on day we were leaving site. This meant we didn't know if the car would be back to us in time to leave site by 11am. Explained this to reception and paid for extra night. However, garage sorted car and we were able to leave before the 11am time and so the extra day was not required. We were surprised that site did not accept that this was a scenario out of our control and refused to refund unused day.

Unfortunately, booking another night meant that we were unable to then offer this to any other potential customers and we would therefore be losing a booking. We do understand these things happen, however our refund system is all stated clearly in our policies and would have been explained to you in person. We hope to welcome you back again.

Fab

Immaculate site with added extras such as a dog wash station and donkeys, alongside lovely, safe walks. We will be back again very soon.

Gem of a site in great location

Friendly staff and the cleanest campsite we've stayed on in the UK. Toilet and shower block was modern and immaculately kept at all times. First time we've stayed in a pod. Wasn't disappointed. Would love to return next time we're in the north east.

Lovely campsite

Had a lovely short break here in August, site was great. Street food kept my two daughters waiting for 1hr and 40 mins for a very small order. Definitely give them your number and go back, don't wait. Other than that - no complaints.

Fab campsite

Cannot fault this campsite at all. We arrived at about half 7 on the Friday night and were met by lovely people in reception. Our pitch was in the adults only part, it was lovely. The facilities are brill, lovely and clean, there is even individual cubicles with hair dryers in! The laundry looks good, although we didn't use it. If you take your dog there is even a dog wash room!

Very pleasantly surprised

We move around the country quite regularly and often book similar sites and accommodation as a means to catch a break from work. This was by far the nicest site we have been to. We are used to a field with a pod, toilet block and a BBQ. This site has everything you could need for a long term, comfortable stay. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than expected but it's on our list for a long term stay when we are next up.

Good experience

It was my first time using a pod in a campsite. I am very happy to have made that choice. A pod will be my preference for future camping. I have to say, the ensuite public bathroom was the best experience in the park. Thanks.

Lovely place and cafe

Great, all round, well kept site. We were at the café on Friday and Saturday, Greek night and pizza night had lovely food and lovely people. The only downside was on both nights, we waited an hour and a half for food.

Beautiful site, very clean and tidy

Pod was basic, but that's what we expected. Lovely clean site, staff very friendly. The small café bar is fantastic value and the pizzas are to die for.

Great site!

Chose this site for a last minute getaway & we weren't disappointed. When we arrived we didn't realise just how big the site was until we were led round to our pitch, it's massive! We booked into the adult only section for a bit of peace & quiet and it was pretty relaxing apart from the odd kids on a scooter or bike whizzing past. We were told that the nearest shower block hadn't yet been refurbished like the others on the site but it was perfectly adequate, clean and never had a problem getting a shower. In fact, every time either myself or my husband went for one, we had the place to ourselves, which was very surprising considering the size of the site. We took our dog with us and there was a lovely 'field' walk at the entrance to the park but also plenty of space around the site to walk with him too. While we were there a fish n chip van visited and also an Asian street food van, can't comment on them because we already had our meals planned. Electric is prepaid onto a card and when you leave you get refunded for what you don't use, which we felt was a very good/fair system. There was some road noise but not enough to bother us, in fact we commented how peaceful it was in the adult only section. There are 'private' bathrooms which you can pay extra for, which I suppose is a good idea if you have a family. There is also a room to do your washing, if needed. All in all, we had a lovely stay, the weather obviously made a big difference, and we will certainly be going back again before the summer is over.

Lovely campsite with fantastic facilities and staff

Such a lovely campsite. Fantastic facilitates - the shower and toilet blocks were the best I've ever known at a campsite, the staff were so friendly. The pizza from the onsite cafe was amazing. Will definitely be returning!

Lovely stay

Last minute booking so not expecting anything special, but we were pleasantly surprised! Unfortunately, only a gravel pitch was available, which, unless you have sturdy pegs for awnings, are tough to get through. Beautifully kept park, friendly staff, excellent cafe (try the garlic bread on pizza night!). Only downside is the toilets weren't massively clean. Other than that, a really lovely stay.

Not too impressed

I was disappointed with many things, the cost was expensive at £133 for three nights, plus electricity. They charged £3.50 per dog and I have two. I couldn't believe I paid £12.25 for a bottle of standard Merlot in the shop. I hated the shared wash facilities, cubicles where you shared with people that did not necessarily have any hygiene standards. We booked what we thought was an adult's only section, only to have kids trying to ride their bikes through our grass area. Not impressed.

Amazing! Must go there!

Honestly, such a beautiful park. Amazing location, just enough. The children's play park is very good and big! The park itself is very peaceful and relaxing. The shower/toilet blocks were the best we have seen, modern, clean individual bathrooms which are great. The onsite cafe is great and their pizzas (Thursday and Saturday evenings) are so good. Can't wait to go back next year!

Lovely site

Lovely site, very well looked after. Toilet block very clean with individual rooms of toilet sink and showers giving lots of room. Onsite cafe really good, friendly, family run, lovely fresh cooked food and good coffee. Only downside to our stay was a dog in caravan next to us that barked day and night. Would recommend this site for enjoying Scarborough and surrounding areas.

Beautiful site

Wonderful stay. Site is well kept and pretty. Excellent facilities, everything is catered for. Great value. Extremely peaceful. Our pitch was a standard full service pitch. Will definitely recommend to others and will be back.
