Motorhome - Hardstanding PitchesJul 2022

Hardstanding pitches were good at the top, quite tight for caravans further down but lots of happy campervans. Alpacas and bunnies in field but no dog walks on site and lots of flies. Very well maintained and clean and the pastries and barista coffees were great each morning.

Lovely Howgill

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding PitchesMay 2022

We enjoyed our stay at Howgill Lodge even though it was only short - we wished it had been longer! The facilities are looked after well. The pitches are terraced and ours was one of the higher ones which gave a superb view across the valley although of course, that meant we got more of the wind too! The site is well placed for walking in the area and the river walk is beautiful. We walked along the river to Appletreewick and had a good meal in The Craven Arms, which was better than the average pub. All in all, this is a good site in a beautiful part of the Dales.
