Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2026 Very nice campsite on the site of a pub that does great food. It’s definitely great value for money, and offers nice hikes around Hook Norton. Toilet facilities are shared with the pub, which can make it quite busy at times (we went in peak summer)

We only lived half an hour away but was ideal to get there after people finished work and easy to set up!
Staff at the pub amazing and nothing was too much.
Facilities good and clean!

Nice and quiet campsite
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 Very nice and quiet campsite. Pub food excellent. Toilet and shower clean. It took a while til the water was warm and the pressure was low but enough for a quick shower.

Amenities really clean, everything you need for a stay over. The pub itself is really great! Beautiful building, brilliant staff, very welcoming and the locals are lovely too! Would definitely return if we were in the area. Many thanks

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 We had a lovely stay at this campsite. It's in a beautiful, peaceful, and quiet area surrounded by fabulous countryside. Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Basic facilities that were exceptionally clean and very well maintained. We would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway to relax in beautiful surroundings.
One night stopover
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2026 £20 a night. Lots of space, camping field a slight slope but you can find more levels bits within it.
Pretty busy and popular. 24h access to pub toilets. 2 new showers at side of pub. Good food and generous portions. We stayed with no EHU.
Decent play park and plenty grass space for the kids. No complaints, enjoyed our stay 👍🏻

Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 What a great campsite/pub, food is excellent, staff are friendly and the site is perfect for all your camping needs.
Give it a go, you won't regret it. We chose here as we were going to Diddly Squat Farm Shop and this location is only 30 mins away from there, so perfect for us.

A lovely location and great pub onsite! There was only one shower and no washing up facilities, however, they are currently upgrading. We would definitely go again when everything is finished!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2026 A last minute 1 night trip for us lead to this little gem.
I made a reservation for food when we knew we were coming and I'm glad we did, the food was so so good, lots of drinks to choose from, just a shame we didn't have room for pudding!
The campsite was great just pick a spot and pitch up - the facilities are having renovation but the shower to the front and pub toilets were clean and kept well stocked. Fresh water available and plenty of bins.
We were made to feel welcome from the staff and locals and we will be back to stay, we couldn't have asked for more.

A great small campsite in a lovely location. The pub and restaurant were good. All of the staff were really friendly. . The current toilet snd shower is basic, but the toilet facilities are currently being upgraded
Lovely 2 night getaway

All staff at the site lovely, warm, welcoming. Food in pub attached delicious.
Site a little uneven, nice big plot. Some noise from industrial site very close by but we knew this beforehand and only during working hours. Only slight downside was the shower, not very clean but I noted they are building a new shower / toilet block. 20 minute walk in Hook Norton, sadly no footpath! But wide verge on road.
Cheap and cheerful

Friendly site and staff were helpful and kind. Bar was good, we actually only used it once but seemed good.
The industrial site next door, we heard vehicles reversing beeps at about 6.30am although didn't disturb us too much and no noise overnight, but perhaps this was because we stayed over a weekend.
The actual campsite for non electric was decent and good value for money. However, it is on a hill, so best to place yourself at the bottom of the field. We were fine with the site only having one shower and toilet, although wasn't very clean, toilets to use at the pub were better, apart from the sewerage leaking out all over into the car park and was quite smelly. If you're going for one or two nights and need a cheap place to pitch up, then it does what it needs to do.
Great weekend away
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2026 Had a great weekend away at the gates hang high. The location is remote to really feel like you’re in the middle of the countryside side ( with fields all around) but easy enough to get to a shop if you find yourself short. Kids absolutely loved the pubs play area and climbing the tree next to it and we were blessed with good weather and a generous sized pitch without feeling like we were being marshalled - camping pitches are undesignated so the suit yourself approach added to the sense of freedom
