About the site
Close enough to get back to civilisation, Brick Kiln is well off the beaten track and offers respite from busy lives. Surrounded by fields along a quiet country lane, your only complaint might be the early morning birdsong! It is an ideal place to unwind and relax, get some respite from the bustle of everyday life and enjoy the fresh air.
Tents, motorhomes and caravans (no electric hookup), cyclists, motorbikes and backpackers are all welcome.
The campsite is flat with well-marked pitches allocated to you on arrival, spread across two well-maintained and spacious fields - 'Guy's Field' and a garden area. Every pitch includes a fire pit and shared facilities are nearby, including hot showers open all day and a kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee machine and cutlery and crockery.
Ideally situated for the coast and local market towns - Framlingham, Orford, Woodbridge and Sutton Hoo. An ideal base to explore this part of the east coast of Suffolk. You're just a ten-minute walk across the field to the village with a fantastic pub and shop.
The site is also home to a cosy reading, games and bric-a-brac hut with a spacious undercover seating area for rainy days or to escape the heat. There is also an onsite honesty shop with firewood available for the fire pits. Open campfires and disposable BBQs are not permitted.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times.
No music, TVs, or radios are allowed due to it being a quiet site, unless listening through headphones.

Site facilities include well kept showers and toilets with hand soap and hairdryer. There is a kitchen with a dresser full of crockery and cutlery and a washing up area, plus a kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge/freezer. BBQs can be hired and there is a covered seating area.
An honesty shop allows guests to pick up wood and also charge your gadgets on site for a small fee. The shop has wood and kindling, marshmallows, toiletries and drink sachets. A marquee offering cover during wet weather, table tennis and a reading room for a book exchange, games, and information are provided.
The village of Campsea Ashe is only a five minute drive or 10-15 minute walk. There is a well stocked village shop, and village pub called The Duck. Wickham Market is the nearest small town with Co-op open daily until 10pm (except Sundays). It also has a Chinese and Indian restaurant and takeaway fish and chips. There are lots of good golf courses in the area.
A note from the site themselves...
Despite not being a camper, I am passionate about my site and wish to offer the very best experience that I can and wish to offer peace to those who need this in their lives. Guests enjoy the reading hut, and the undercover seating area provides a time for reflection.
Sleeping under the dark night with starry skies is a very special experience, and the campfires complete this!
A warm welcome awaits, and I am always looking for new ways to make your stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025
Lovely peaceful site, great outdoor social area and the toilets and showers are immaculate, really nice honestly shop on site and an on site communal fridge which is great as there is no power on the pitches.
Will definitely be staying again.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025
We stayed here for 7 nights in May/June 2025, mid week to mid week.
The site is tucked away down a small lane around 1km from the A12. There is some background traffic noise, but not intrusive.
There were 25 pitches around the edge of a large field, and a further 6 pitches in a small orchard. We chose an orchard plot. The main field was around half full over the weekend, but only two or three pitches were occupied mid week.
The facilities were spotlessly clean, and there was an indoors washing up area with kettle, microwave, and various cooking utensils. The small honesty shop was thoughtfully stocked with many of the things one might have forgotten to pack, including local honey and marmalade.
The covered socialising area next to the facilities block had lots of room, and included a pool table (interestingly sloping table made games challenging!) and outdoors table tennis. Blankets were thoughtfully provided for chilly evenings.
The hosts were very friendly and well informed about the local area, and checked to see if the guests were happy. There's a village shop and local pub a short walk across the fields from the campsite.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The site was very peaceful and quiet at night, and it was quite lovely to wake up to the dawn chorus.
Great stay!
