Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesApr 2026

First time stay for one night with my friend, as a spontaneous last minute booking. Great value for money, access to facilities including showers, very impressed with the cleanliness and maintenance. Food served on site for breakfast and from 5pm on an evening. 10 minute drive from Bakewell town centre with access to lots of shops, cafes & other things. The hosts/owners were extremely accommodating and friendly. Already planning our next stay for a weekend in May. Highly recommend and will be regular visitors. Thank you so much! Sophie & Jaime x

Noisy, ruined everything else about the stay unfortunately

Roof Tent - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesApr 2026

Upon arriving at the campsite, we phoned up Ed who kindly welcomed us and informed us that going left along the hard standings was a good pick, and there were some standings with particularly good views further down. We listened to this and took this advice, finding a very nice site where he had described. The location was lovely, the facilities were amazing and very clean. It was also affordable and reasonable. Half an hour after we had arrived, people started gathering to build a fence through the field next to us on the campsite. This was fine as I understand it is a working farm. This however turned into more of an ordeal as chainsaws, tractors with pile driving equipment, angle grinders, trucks and quad bikes starting to turn up. There was then constant noise until about 20:45 when they decided to clear off. It got to the point where I was about to mention something to them if they had not stopped by 21:00 but luckily they finally stopped work before this point. For a campsite that boasted peaceful and relaxing evenings, it was far from what it promised, especially after being advised by one of the owners to go to a location where work was about to happen as opposed to the entire rest of the site. I felt very let down by the experience and subsequently I wouldn't recommend it to others if things like this continue, which looking in retrospect, is something that appears to have happened in the past to others.

Just what we needed

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesApr 2026

A much needed short break after a hectic 5 weeks with family stuff. Easy to book, reasonable priced and easy to find (not withstanding TWO road incidents that diverted us) Very pleasant surroundings and the toilet/ shower blocks of a very high standard. Loved the food from Annie's Van. Park started to fill up from teatime Friday but everyone kept to the curfew time - including the young people on DofE. Will hopefully stay again in the very newr future.

Fantastic stay

Great campsite, toilets and showers on site well kept. Allowed firepits and provided us some wood. Right in the heart of some great walks. We unfortunately caught some of the worst wind, but worth the stay!

Perfect for exploring the peak district

We used the grassed area, non electric, for our VW campervan. The fields are sizeable and there are good quality showers and toilets with hot water. The site is in close proximity to Monyash, Bakewell and Matlock. Nice views. Friendly staff. Lots of easy walks from the site with several pubs on route.

Wonderful campsite!

Myself and my partner stayed here for one night and thoroughly enjoyed it, they were very easy to deal with, they have cats on site so no need to fear any little critters! The facilities were hugely impressive and the grounds were spotless. A++

Perfect!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesFeb 2026

Spent two nights here with my 11 year old son in my camper. We've had a wonderful stay and didn't want to leave. Easy to find, stunning views, hard standing pitch and modern 24hr toilet/shower facilities. Owners are very easy to contact if needed, friendly and accommodating. Lathkill Dale is walking distance and beautiful. We will definitely be returning to Haddon Grove Farm. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Great site, gorgeous views and super clean facilities

Highly recommend for those winter trips, the location is perfect. Just a really nice relaxed vibe. Lots of walking routes directly from the site plus close proximity to lots of great hiking trails and towns to visit. Great communication with the owners too, via phone/text, whilst they were busy on the farm.

If you're looking for somewhere to hike, hike here!👍🏽 Great location, the beautiful Lathkill Dale Park is just down the hill. Great value for money. Amazing facilities, with drinking water, and clean and nice toilets/showers. Couldn't really ask for anything more. Would definitely recommend.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Touring PitchesOct 2025

Lovely venue, very clean facilities. Friendly owners on the phone, we arrived late, so didn't see anyone. My partner had a warm shower in the morning, but no hot water when I went in the shower or the washroom. We'd love to come back, as its clear they're working on the site, and it's lovely. Hot water and a plug socket for a hair dryer would be perfect.

The campsite was clean and spacious, we booked ten tents and enough space for accommodating our tents and dinning area. The toilets and showers are clean and adequate for accommodate more people. We had a very good time.

Great site with gorgeous views. Owners work very hard to keep facilities clean and tidy too. Very dog friendly. Very large site and despite it being a bank holiday it was quiet at bed time. We intend to come back. Thanks.

Motorhome - Non Electric Hardstanding Touring PitchesAug 2025

We booked to stay here for 2 nights after seeing fantastic reviews. We lasted 1 night and then left because it was just awful. When you turn up, the pitches are a free for all, so if you go out for the day, you'll likely lose your pitch to someone else as we did. There are hundreds of pitches and spread far and wide across the site, with one obvious toilet block in the centre and apparently one toilet block at the entrance, away from all the pitches. The queues for the toilet/showers and 2 washing up sinks were constant, no matter the time of the day (like being at a festival). The facilities couldn't keep up with the number of people, so the water kept running out and the pressure wouldn't even flush the toilet. I attempted to shower late in hopes of this being better, but even so, the water pressure was so low, the water wouldn't even flow of the shower head, it just trickled down the wall. The toilets stank and were not clean at all. Our pitch was opposite the toilet block so we frequently opened the door to the smell of sewage. Not really any rules across the site so there were tonnes of fires and parties going on, so couldn't have the windows on the motorhome open because of the sheer amount of smoke and the obvious noise until very, very late. People were driving back and forth to the toilet all hours and not being mindful of other campers by driving at speeds that aren't really acceptable on a family campsite. This meant there was constant flows of cars that were kicking up dust. Blows my mind that you would come to a campsite and drive back and forth everywhere anyway! Really disappointing for us and just completely against what we think a camping holiday is about.

Great campsite!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2025

A great campsite, excellent location, the facilities were very clean and there is an onsite shop. Only down side was the toilet block, which couldn't handle the amount of people and the toilets were regularly not able to flush. It is still a brilliant campsite and we will be back to visit!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesAug 2025

I was in a nice flat and level field, others have a slight slope and were more popular as they had a great view. Facilities brand new, great shower. Owners are nice people and really helpful. Rope swings popular with the the camping kits. Campsite suits all types of campers. Great campsite, will no doubt choose it again on next visit to the Peak District.
