Very pleasant stay with fantastic view

Shower block could have been cleaner but adequate hot water. Free continental breakfast which as good but if you went later jn the morning there was no jam or bread left and no staff around to replenish. However staff were pleasant and helpful wheb around.

Never Again

Where to begin… the welcome wasn't the warmest, but I thought it is 7pm, just get parked. The views are incredible from here, but I would say that is the only thing that was incredible. A continental breakfast was offered each morning for everyone who stays, that was ok. There was a golden retriever running around, at first I thought someone will come and get it soon... oh no they didn't. Running around barking at everyone, he actually came up to my step daughter and scared her by barking. I have a reactive dog, to other dogs off lead approaching him, because he has been attacked 6 times by other dogs off leads. My boy is never off the lead and especially on a campsite, and a campsite with awards allows its own dog to run loose, shocking. I had to shout to get someone to come get the dog. Then an employee came to our van, asking my partner who had booked him in, we had been here a day by this time. I called from the back, telling him that I was the one who booked in. I wondered why he was doing this, then he said that the dog was a campsite dog. I was furious, but kept my cool. Why on earth is there a reactive dog, running around a campsite, barking at everyone. What if you are scared of dogs? Well, I felt so uncomfortable, we left in the morning, supposed to be there 4 days, and we certainly won't be back. Didn't even check the showers out.

Lovely location

Very lovely location, scenic views of the mountains. There is a great WiFi signal and bathroom facilities.

Amazing

This site is defo one we will visit again. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We had a tent and were welcomed to use the lounge and restaurant within the hotel. A wee gem nestled in beautiful woodlands with gorgeous mountain views.

New year motorhome getaway

Been to the site a few times now and it really is a fantastic site. Amazing dog walks with spectacular scenery everywhere. Very friendly helpful staff all around. My Mrs found the inside bathroom this time and was most impressed (it was minus conditions in the outside bathrooms, but that's the Scottish weather).

A beautiful Scottish home

We stayed for 4 nights over Christmas in our mobile home. The staff were very nice, Lee made sure we had everything we needed, we had a great time and the house is beautiful, very Scottish which is what we wanted. Dogs are welcome and the area has some lovely walks. Breakfast consists of cereal, toast, crumpets, croissants and yogurt. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day. The only criticism I have is that the outside toilets and showers were dirty, cold and grimy, the bins were never emptied and some had no toilet roll, they just weren't nice. There is an indoor bathroom with a shower for guests to use, but that was dirty as well. We were charged for 1 nights electric that we didn't use and so were our friends. Aside from this I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and I hope that sometime in the future I do.

Right on The West Highland Way. Good location with free teas/coffee and continental breakfast. Showers and toilets could do with a bit of tlc. Good evening meals available.

Great site and facilities, nice modern and newly installed shower and bathroom facilities.

Magnificent scenery

The site appears to mainly cater to people walking the West Highland Way and I can imagine that they land at the site, needing a hot shower and to get dry and warm and to rest. I can imagine all of these needs being fulfilled very nicely. We were greeted by a really friendly guy who could not be more helpful and kind, and were guided to the most fabulous spot overlooking the nearby countryside. It was a 5 star position. Thank you! It's really the bathroom area that attracts such a low rating. They were really grubby and old. That said, the water was hot and plentiful. There was even hot water outside at the dish washing area, so top marks for that too!

Superb campsite

Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Allowed to pick your own pitch after touring the site. Woodland camping, garden camping and wild camping all available. Facilities very well kept and clean. No noise population throughout the night. Very hospitable staff. I will be back.

Super cosy campsite with friendly stuff

The view is stunning and everybody is super friendly and helpful.

It was fine. Expensive and the laundry doesn't work plus, the shower's very mouldy.

Site's response

Laundry doesn't work! Well that's a new one. Did you give your laundry to the lady to do? I doubt she would have said no. We only offer a free service wash here, and that is included in the price of £20 per adult. Perhaps next time go to a laundrette.

Friendly, relaxed - great place

We received a warm welcome. Overall feel is relaxed and friendly. Bell tent was good size, had a spot for a little camp fire and a bench for eating. The facilities were clean, albeit busy in the morning and evening. Overall great location and place. Hope it stays popular and open for years to come.

Perfect location

Very friendly, toilet and shower facilities could have been better, but friendly and helpful staff more than made up for this.

Our 3 nights stay

An absolutely beautiful campsite with friendly staff. You start off with a continental breakfast that's included in the price. We had our 2 dogs with us and the walks and scenery couldn't be bettered. The site is set in a fantastic location and we would definitely book again. The only downside is the WC and showers are in the same room, so if you need the loo, you sometimes have to wait for others to finish thei shower, which isn't ideal. There is only one WC on its own but you have to wait in a queue if it's busy. Not the cleanest either.

Nice views but bring earplugs

Great location with nice views, however, we found the toilets/showers to be very dirty. There also wasn't near enough showers for the amount of people there. Parking in the lower pitches was very noisy with people driving in and out all through the night. Parking in the upper pitch was better for noise but suffered from a lot of wasps as the main bins were there and we were still woken up as electrical work was going on with workmen congregating and shouting right next to our van at 08:00. In the end we didn't stay all the nights we had planned as it was just too noisy.

Too few toilets

There was a small number of toilets for the number of people on the site.

Whw is amazing

This was the best campsite I have stayed on the staff are super helpful and friendly. The owner is amazing and does everything he can to help with guests.

Good location, basic facilities

Location is good, especially for WHW hikers. Nice views. Facilities basic, small toilets, not enough showers. On site restaurant ok, but quite pricey. Spaces felt a bit cramped (we stayed in a camper).

Beautifully located and welcoming place

A very warm welcome and a very easy check-in process. The site is very well maintained, with electricity available almost everywhere. Breakfast is included in the price. Very nicely done.

Start point for the Highland way

Very beautiful place in the middle of the forest. Great place to start the highland way, I would recommand this place.

Amazing little gem

The owner and staff have a passion for camping and being outdoors, which enables them to cater for absolutely everyone as far as they can. The staff are really helpful and can't help you enough. The campsite is beautiful, great facilities and lovely communal area. The food available is lovely and the continental breakfast included. It would be a shame not to stay here if you are in the area. Get booked though it's popular!
