Fantastic

We camped (tent) here in April 2026. This is a small and beautiful site nestled in the stunning Welsh countryside, and a short drive up from Aberdaron. We would definitely stay here again - thank you / diolch yn fawr.

Lovely, peaceful site in a great location

Due to a bad weather forecast there had been a few cancellations and the site was very quiet - we were so glad we stuck with it as it's a gorgeous spot! We tucked ourselves in by the belt of trees and dodged the showers, managing a great coastal walk followed by an evening round the fire pit (which we took with us.) The couple who run the site were there to greet us and were lovely- really friendly and helpful. The 'field kitchen' had just opened when we arrived so we ate from there and it was delicious. Open 5-8pm Fri, Sat, Sun, serving burgers, tacos, loaded fries etc- including veggie & vegan options. Facilities are just what you need: an outbuilding with a mini fridge, sink for washing pots, 2 handwashing basins and 2 little rooms each containing a toilet and shower(20p). Very clean and well-maintained. Short drive into Aberdaron, but it only took us about 20 minutes to walk in along quiet lanes. There's a chippy, pizza and ice cream place, cafes, Spar and of course, a lovely beach (dog restrictions during holiday season). Loads of gorgeous walking along the coastal path and the site is very dog friendly. We loved our weekend at Ty Cae and would definitely recommend it to others who also prefer that slightly quieter part of the Llyn Peninsula!

Lovely peaceful site

We were very lucky to have the site to ourselves the week after Easter, so just the weather (lots of that) for company. Lovely owners and you HAVE to try their burgers from the on-site shack – hands down, the best I have ever eaten. Spotless loo and shower block, though cold underfoot in April! Aberdaron is a lovely little village with a very good bakery and a few cafes, about 25 minutes walk down quiet lanes. Coast path round the tip of the Llyn peninsula is magnificent, totally worth all the ups and downs.

Great stay

Very welcoming and lots of facilities. Short walk to the beach and nice walks around the area.

Splendid location

The location has great view and good option for both eyes and mouth. The view from the location is good for eyes to enjoy and choice of food options best for mouth and stomach.

Excellent site well worth a visit

Fantastic site in an excellent location. Really quiet and picturesque. Good base for walking and cycling and beach visits. The food truck on site was a brilliant bonus. Homemade food with really tasty veggie options.

Amazing family stay

We have just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay with our two boys (aged 7 & 12). The owners were very welcoming and explained all about the campsite and the local area once we arrived. The plot had amazing views across the fields, there was plenty of room and it had a lovely area for the boys to play with the other children. The facilities were the best we've ever seen at a campsite, showers/toilets were new and clean. The washing up area even had a freezer to refreeze your ice blocks. They opened their onsite food & drink hut over the weekend, we ate there Thurs and Friday - the food was beautiful. The menu catered for all of us, vegetation & vegan. A great kids menu with great value options. Plus service with a smile 😊 All in all a fab stay, we can't wait to rebook a visit again and tell our friends about it this time 😊

Welsh retreat

Main issue was finding the site, signage was not very good . Sat nav can't be relied on. Once at the site found it spacious and clean. Owners were friendly and helpful. If you want to escape humdrum of life, this is perfect. Quiet site except for bulls! Lol.

Fantastic site

A great little site with friendly owners who go out of their way to make the stay the best it can be. Fantastic food truck on the site with delicious burgers and tacos. We will definitely be back!

Ideal for easy access to Whistling Samds

First stay here

We had a lovely stay here the weather was amazing! Easy drive to the local beaches we particularly enjoyed whistling sands which was about a 10 minute drive and a few minutes to the village of Aberdaron where we saw dolphins and lots of other wild life. We enjoyed the onsite food kitchen which was ideal on our last night!

Glorious campsite

Excellent small site, in a lovely setting close to the sea. You must like remote romantic locations to like this one. We loved it. Good clean showers and toilets and just a few other campers to swap adventure stories with. The only traffic along the single track road were tractors. Lovely Black Welsh cows close at hand and a few sheep. Bring your food with you, it's a long way to the supermarket (approx 30 mins). Shop and food on site at the weekends. Lovely walks and good pub on the beach. We think this site is fabulous and we will be back again soon.

Absolutely superb find!

Everything was perfect. The site owners met us on arrival, really friendly and helpful. The site itself is small, family friendly, quiet at night and had a lovely mix of people staying. It's a great place to relax, and Aberdaron is less than ten minutes drove away. The food from the onsite kitchen is absolutely incredible, highly recommend the Welsh Rarebit burger and Welsh lamb burger, yum! Only very minor detail that lets it down, there is no freezer for freezer blocks, but I managed ok with my electric toolbox for the 5 nights, so its not too big a deal.

Good site

Small site with good facilities, toilets, showers and food an available. Quite hard to find.

A lovely site

A lovely site. Beautiful location. The onsite burger bar was delicious. Showers and toilets are basic BUT very clean. Will be returning and very much recommend.

Great place in a fantastic location.

If you are looking for mountains or beach this is the place to stay. Perfectly situated and really well looked after camping site. We felt really welcomed by Denise and loved this place. We hope to come back in the future.
