Adult only and dog friendly touring park, Flaxton Meadows is a peaceful base offering the best of both worlds, being just 15 minutes from York and ten minutes from the start of the Howardian Hills, within easy reach of the North York Moors. The site is kept small, with just 25 pitches for campers and tourers with excellent eco-conscious facilities including a bar, pizza, nature trail, a launderette and a facility block with underfloor heating.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2023

We had a great stay. The showers and toilets were excellent. Free hairdryer. The staff were helpful and friendly and the bonus was the bar, where we were able to socialize with fellow campers in a great atmosphere. All clean and obviously a lot of investment has been made in the site. Would definitely return and most of the people we spoke to were return campers.

Trailer Tent - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2023

1st time we've been to York since high school and only 2nd time camping, but this site puts you at ease in minutes. Great welcome from Gavin upon arrival and we got to our pitch very easily and quickly. Plenty of room for our trailer tent, gazebo and car. Serviced with electricity and fresh running water. We chose a hardstanding pitch but there are grass pitches too. Come prepared with good pegs suitable for a hard pitch. The facilities are 1st class with spotless loos and showers with underfloor heating. Laundry and washing up areas and even somewhere to rinse your dog if needed!! There's a bar with a good choice of draft beer and a good choice of wines and spirits etc. Keen prices too at £4 a pint and usual crisps and snacks. There's a local pizza place that will deliver to the site if you like, or you can drive out to a selection of local restaurants and fast food outlets. We went to York and used the local park and ride service and found this very handy, rather than battling through the traffic. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable 4 night stay and would definitely return. Very easy to get to too with no narrow roads 👍👍

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJul 2023

Great small park. Quiet and rural. Lovely amenities. Absolutely loved the bar on site. Highly recommend and will return when back in the area.
