Fantastic !! Simply Fantastic

Without.doubt the cleanest site with beautiful clean facilities. Paul was super friendly and welcoming. The Crooklands pub 2 mins walk is also a lovely establishment. Close drive to Kirkby Longsdale and 30 from the sputh lakes. We will definatly stay again soon. Many thanks Christian and Jenny

Electric pitch

Excellent site very clean easy to find, will be back in the future, friendly owner near 2 pubs, the facilities are immaculate.

A very clean and pleasant campsite

This is an excellent small campsite close to the M6. The facilities are clean and tidy and the owner is helpful and friendly.

Camping trip

Lovely and kind welcoming staff members. The site is very neat and tidy, showers and toilets are clean and always fresh. Highly would come again and highly recommend.

Great site

Brilliant and friendly site. The communal areas are clean, tidy and fresh at all times and had some great added extras in the toilet blocks such as plasters, wipes and cotton balls. The staff were helpful and polite and it's located close to local shops, food places and lots of fab walks. Will definitely be returning again :)

Perfect little campsite

Pretty little campsite. Only stayed one night, but wished we had stayed longer. The shower rooms were the best we have seen with added luxuries. Lovely walks just outside the gate. Tidy pitches and a friendly, helpful host. Will stay longer next time.

Great campsite

We stayed with a VW-type campervan and a large tent, was put together and friends joined with a motorhome. Small site and well laid out. Facilities were clean and tidy. Everything was easy to use and the chap on site was lovely!

Perfect Getaway

Amazing site with really high quality facilities. Paul came to introduce himself and made us feel very welcome. The shower and facilities are hotel quality and the site is quiet and in a great location for South Lakes. We loved the walks by the canal nearby with our dogs and this will be our only stopover for South Lakes from now on. Thanks Paul!

Great campsite

Have stayed at this campsite before and love location ie. canal walk for dogs just across road and hotel for eating out also just across road. Paul is very friendly and works hard keeping site well maintained. There are 2 shower blocks, one with lovely modern individual toilets and showers (if you like this) with shampoo, conditioner and body wash which is a nice touch, and one with same products but older. Not a negative, but maybe worth a note, as I'm claustrophobic I am unable to use the totally enclosed toilets - thankfully, can use the older toilet block facilities which is your more traditional campsite layout. Also, don't like how the windows are all locked and you can't open them. Other than these personal issues, I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely, little site.

Hi Diane Thank you for staying with us again recently. I can appreciate how difficult things are if you suffer from claustrophobia, but thankfully the other shower and loo block worked for you. The reason that the windows are locked on trickle vent is that the shower block has thermostatically controlled underfloor heating and humidity controlled extractor fans. If the windows / doors are kept open, neither will work properly. Enjoy your travels and it'll be lovely to host you again. Paul

Unbelievable site, the place is immaculate and facilities are great. Paul, your service was great and a huge thanks again from us. Only campsite in the area we will stay at going forward. Can't wait to go back!

A relaxing stay

We stayed for the weekend at the tent pitch. The whole area is very well maintained and the gentleman who takes care of it was very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the the facilities was unexpectedly good.

Fantastic

This site is second to none. Paul was very friendly and welcoming. He texted us instructions of where to pitch a few hours before our arrival. Made us feel valued. The site itself is immaculate with the best shower/toilet facilities we have experienced in a very long time. The position is great for a trip into the Lakes. Walks on the canal and a lovely pub/ restaurant across the road.

Thoroughly recommend this site

Immaculately maintained site. Luxurious shower block, spotlessly clean washing up area with washing machine and dryer. Very helpful staff - loaned us an electric lead. 2 minutes from the Crooklands Hotel which serves excellent meals and nice place to have a drink. Lovely walks along the Kendal - Lancaster canal. 40 minute canal boat rides on Sunday's in the summer months run by volunteers of the Canal Trust. Weekday bus route into Kendal. Only slightly negative is that it is quite near the motorway and at night time you can hear vehicle traffic but you get used to it and it certainly wouldn't put us off from staying here again.

Fantastic site!

I couldn't recommend this camp site enough. We stayed for 2 nights in a small tent and had a fantastic weekend, assisted by the great weather. We received a lot of information & help from Paul which we were very thankful for. The tent field is spacious and flat with access to their brand new toilet shower block. The facilities are second to none. We will definitely be returning soon!

Excellent site with 5 star facilities

Great location next to the Lancaster Canal. Good value for money. Facilities are excellent (toilets, showers, washer/dryer), and electric hook-up. The on-site WIFI was brilliant, letting me stream BBC iPlayer without a hitch. I'll definitely be coming back.

Pleasant stay

Nice, quiet campsite with excellent facilities. It's obvious a lot of thought has gone into the planning of the site which the owners must be proud of. The grounds were well maintained, clean & tidy. Would recommend. Thank you.

Fantastic campsite

A fabulous little campsite. Quiet, friendly, so clean, toilets and showers are a very high standard, lovely warm room for washing up and clothes washing. Great location, close to the M6, canal walk from the campsite and a lovely pub just across the road. Can't wait to come back.

Gorgeous site

Never been on such an immaculate site, couldn't fault anything, best showers/toilets I've ever seen on a campsite. The man who greeted us was so lovely with his dog, Sandy, thank you again, will be back.

Perfect weekend stay

Little Acre campsite was just perfect for what we needed. The directions and the arrival instructions sent in the email were very clear and the owner was very welcoming when we arrived. Nothing was too much bother. The toilet/shower blocks were very clean and modern, great to use after a nice day out walking the local canal or visiting Kendal or Kirkby Lonsdale. The views from the campsite were beautiful and the surrounding area was perfect for a spring evening walk along the canal seeing the wildlife. The campsite was spacious and quiet which is just what we wanted while also being brilliant for star gazing at night time. On the Sunday we visited the Crooklands Hotel pub just across the road with a great roast and a lovely cocktail menu, and friendly staff. Arnside beach was just a 20 minute drive from the campsite and Kirkby Lonsdale was 20 minutes the other way. Great location for exploring the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dale's. We'll definitely visit again.

Very lovely!

Easy to find, and very quiet despite being close to the M6. The owner was very welcoming, and provided comprehensive information in response to the booking. The toilets, showers, washing-up and laundry facilities were high spec and spotless. Will use again.
