Access lanes not the widest, otherwise location would be 5 stars. We parked facing the big swimming lake giving a fantastic view. We were the only people in the field after the 1st day although bookings galore for Bank Holiday apparently. Toilets and showers clean and tidy. The old cider mill wheel was a surprise!

We were very lucky to have found this place as the site we had come from was lacking even the basic amenities, whereas on Woodside every need was met. Helen & Emma and even Tilly went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and that I could get about in my electric wheelchair easily. I would not only recommend them, but would happily come again and spend more time next time.

Lovely site. Huge pitches. Little bit in the middle of nowhere but no artificial light and the stars! Just wow! Lots of big groups but really well spread out so no problems. Was quiet after 10.30. Everyone was really friendly and it seemed like a really happy campsite. Beautiful walks and views. The conservation area was just gorgeous. Excellent site. From the friendly lady in reception to the excellent facilities. We loved it.

Lovely, peaceful campsite. Check in was very quick and easy and the site owner was very friendly and helpful. Lovely lake for swimming in and campfires allowed. Plenty of toilets and showers, would have preferred more separate showers than shower/toilet cubicles, but this is just a personal preference. Would definitely recommend this site.

Access in and out of the site can be a little difficult, but once there, we found the site great. The toilets and showers were spotless, the first night was lovely and quiet, the second night was a little bit more noisier with a family booked close by. The staff were very helpful.

We loved our stay, very peaceful and lovely walks. Wardens on the Cider Mill are very friendly and work hard. Very small issue, the hand dryers were not working in a couple of the cubicles. We also let our dogs off to play ball as no signs saying dogs to be kept on a lead and they are very well-behaved. Not a problem once we were informed by the friendly warden as our two were happy enough on leads anyway, just would have been more comfortable if we had known. I would definitely recommend this site and can't wait to return later in the year.

Brilliant place to stay and it is unusual to have an eco park. Great for dogs and the walks are lovely right out of where you pitch. Unfortunately, the only downside for us is the design of the chemical waste and grey water points, which we felt were really awkward to use.

Spent the last 5 nights here, lovely and quiet through the week, a little busier on the weekend. Very friendly warden and his wife on the grounds. Nice little play area for the kids, wild swimming in the lake, if you don't mind fish brushing past you. Plenty of space to do your own thing, would recommend this lovely little gem.

We stayed here last night for one night, first night in our new van and it gave us chance to spend some time figuring it all out. Staff were lovely and very helpful, site was clean. Can’t comment about facilities as we didn’t use theirs. Peaceful and good views.

On arrival, the grounds were immaculate and we were warmly greeted by a member of staff, who pointed out the facilities and direction of local hostilities. Our pod was spotless and we had a good view across the fields, however 2 of the pods had no view and faced directly towards the toilet block and a small building dump site. The facilities were spotless and always had hot water for the showers. Loved our stay and would visit again without question.

Wonderfully chilled and mellow site in a quiet location. Very friendly. We are very dog centric so it's important for us to be where dogs are welcome, and they certainly are here. Campfires are allowed, and it seemed that most people took advantage of this which added to the ambience. The swimming pond was super. Lots of lovely walks around the ponds. Apple, pear and plum trees that you are allowed to pick from to enjoy. We had a lovely time and will visit again.

A lovely campsite. Might benefit from some shrubs or small trees being planted periodically across the pitch to provide shade and privacy. Enjoyed the site when it was a bit quieter. The bins could do with labelling- all said recycling but several had general rubbish so it wasn't clear which specifically was for general rubbish. Will definitely be booking again though. Might even try a lodge next time. Many thanks- will definitely recommend to friends.
Site's response
Thank you very much for taking the time to review - we are thinking about more shade in the field - as it has been an exceptional year - but we hope you could cool down by or in the lake! Also with regards to the bins, we usually explain to everyone on arrival that all general rubbish goes in a bag and tied up in the red bins, and then all recycling goes into the same bins loose so that it gets sorted at the collection centre.Hope we can welcome you another time, we are glad you enjoyed yourselves.
