The site has just four bell tents, a shepherd's hut and one electric pitch site for a tent, so you'll never be surrounded by too many other campers. Enjoy days exploring the nearby Thetford Forest and evenings around your firepit and BBQ watching the sun go down across the fields.

About Brakehill Lodge Farm
Campers and glampers can enjoy spending time at this scenic orchard site in Norfolk. Half an hour from Thetford forest, and within 50 minutes of Norwich and the coast, you will be spoilt for choice for days out with plenty of attractions and destinations to explore! Offering a peaceful getaway, the site has just one 8m x 8m electric grass pitch in the orchard. The pitch welcomes up to four guests with a 6 amp hook up, fire pit and your own picnic bench to enjoy a lovely picnic lunch. If glamping is more your style, the site has four charming bell tents on offer, each sleeping up to four. Inside you will find a double and two air beds, towels, blankets and tea/coffee facilities for your morning cuppa. Please note, bedding is only provided for the double. Great for couples, the site also has a shepherd's hut for two. The Fieldfare shepherd's hut is 2m x 4m equipped with a double bed, table and chairs along with a wood burner for those cooler evenings. Outside both the bell tents and shepherd's huts you will find a BBQ, fire pit and there is also a gas cooker, perfect for your morning fry up! BBQs are permitted onsite along with the fire pits provided, so don't forget to bring your chef's apron. Dogs are welcome too, with one allowed per pitch and in the glamping units.

Site facilities include two toilets, two showers and five sinks. There is a games room with a pool and football table, along with a campers kitchen with table and chairs, books and games. Woodfired pizza and afternoon tea are also available, with price upon request.
The nearest shop is Lidl in Watton, a five minute drive away. For eating out there is the Red Lion at Caston, or The White Hart in Hingham, a 10-15 minute drive away. Also, you can get take away food delivered to your tent.

Check-in is between 1pm and 10.30pm. Check out is due by 11am.
No stag or hen parties.
During long periods of drought the site bans open fires to protect against wildfires.
No dogs in the Bell Tents.
Things to do on site and in the Thetford area
Great for a family day out, Melsop Farm Park is a ten minute drive from the site. Meet the cows, goats, pigs and rabbits, let kids run wild in the indoor and outdoor play areas and buy a cuddly toy to remember your trip from the gift shop.
To learn about some local history, Dereham Windmill is a 20 minute drive away. The 19th century windmill has five floors, each with fascinating exhibits and wonderful guided tours from local experts. The windmill grounds also offer wonderful dog walking trails, great for four legged friends.
