Templehall Holidays and Caravan Site is a peaceful adult only touring and glamping site, five minutes from the coast and ten minutes to Eyemouth. There are cosy ensuite shepherd's huts or luxury tiny houses, each with fantastic sea views, a kitchen, TV and a fire pit/BBQ, as well as fully serviced grass pitches. There is WiFi access across the site, with two handy pubs within a ten minute walk too. Edinburgh is also within an hour's drive!

About the site

If you're after a quiet getaway by the sea, look no further! This beautifully maintained adult-only touring and glamping site is nestled just outside of Coldingham, a charming village in Berwickshire by the North Sea coast. If you're after a luxury glamping stay, why not opt for a couple of nights in one of the site's cosy shepherd's huts or stylish tiny houses? The two shepherd's huts are situated in a grassy paddock with views over the fields to the sea. Both contain a double bed, kitchenette, log burner and an ensuite bathroom with a shower cubicle and compost toilet. Outside, guests have their own firepit, BBQ grill and outdoor seating. Also in the grassy paddock, the two tiny houses feature a living area, fully equipped kitchen, mezzanine double bedroom and modern bathroom with a toilet and shower. The kitchen includes a full-sized oven, two electric hob rings, a microwave, a full-sized fridge with a freezer compartment and cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment. Outside, guests have their own firepit, BBQ grill and outdoor seating. The site also offers spacious and fully serviced grass pitches for trailer tents, caravans and motorhomes only. In order to maintain the natural surroundings only seven touring units are permitted onsite at once. Please note that as there are no communal toilets or showers, this site is suitable for self-contained units only. Coldingham boasts a 'Keep Scotland Beautiful' award-winning beach and popular surf spot - perfect for daring surfers and curious spectators alike! The village is also home to two great pubs, ideal for rewarding yourself after a refreshing dip. The nature reserve and renowned diving grounds of St Abbs are only ten minutes away, while Edinburgh is just under an hour away. Campfires are permitted in the fire pits provided. Please note, dogs are not allowed in the glamping accommodation but are very welcome on the touring pitches.

Please note, there are no toilet or shower facilities for the camping pitches. Each glamping unit has its own full ensuite and kitchen. Everyone has access to free WiFi.

There are two local pubs within ten minutes' walking distance - The New Inn and The Anchor - as well as a Spar, butcher and coffee shop.

A note from the site themselves...

Templehall Caravan site opened in 1998 when my parents decided to utilise the field next to their house and welcome guests to share the wonderful Berwickshire coast. The site opened initially as a Caravan Club CL site. My wife and I took over the site after my parents passed away in 2013. Expansion came in 2018 when we moved the site 400m up the road to a larger field.

We decided at that point to expand and add adult only glamping accommodation on a totally separate but adjacent paddock. The arrival of our first Shepherd's Hut in autumn 2018 and the second in spring 2019 opened this peaceful location to a wider audience. Due to the success of the shepherd's huts, we added two Tiny Houses in 2021 and 2022.

The Tiny Houses were built by a friend who is a local joiner and myself. The tiny houses we felt were a very unique type of accommodation that was new to our area. All the glamping units are sited to take full advantage of the wonderful view of the coast at Coldingham Bay.

We hope we have created a wonderful site for anyone wanting peace and tranquillity in this wonderful area we are lucky enough to enjoy everyday. We have a lot of customers who come back year after year, so we think we are possibly on track to achieving our aim. We hope to see you soon at Templehall, A and J

Just a 35 walk away is Coldingham Bay, a sandy beach perfect for swimming, surfing, or simply relaxing by the sea. You can even head to St Vedas Surf Shop and School for a lesson!

A five minute drive takes you to St Abbs, a charming fishing village known for its picturesque harbour and the St Abbs Head National Nature Reserve, where you can enjoy coastal walks and spot various seabirds.

For a bit of history, the town of Eyemouth is just ten minutes away by car. Here, you can visit the Eyemouth Museum to learn about the town's fishing heritage or explore Gunsgreen House, a historic house with a fascinating past.
