Large Tent - Wild Tent PitchesJul 2023

Friendly campsite with helpful staff & beautiful views. No mobile reception which is part of the charm. Nice wild camping style so plenty of space, firepits ready-made to use with firewood available to buy. Was a good base for us to do Snowdon. Thanks Hafod Hall.

Glamping Cabin - Wild CabinJul 2023

This is a wild cabin, you will need your own bed/sleep mat. We loved it as it felt like we were alone in the woods. It was quiet, we had a campfire, it was perfect for our needs.

Beautiful wild camping site

Small Tent - Wild Tent PitchesMay 2023

Five stars. Amazing views of Snowdonia national park, especially at sunset. All the campsite people were super chill and friendly. Will definitely recommend to people visiting North Wales.

Not ideal for campervans

VW-Type Campervan - Wild Campervan PitchMay 2023

We felt it was very expensive for a one night stay in our VW campervan with two small dogs with no hook and no real hard standing for a van. We actually ended up sleeping in the "car park" (a flat grassed area) which was ok as luckily there were no other guests. Staff were friendly and happy. After setting up camp, we did try a few times to get out walking / hiking and although the area is surrounded by rolling barren hills and farmers fields, plus a lake in the distance, we gave up, due to no footpath directions. We couldn't figure a way to get to the large lake a couple of miles away and couldn't find any "forest walks". Might be a case of us getting confused, but we hike a lot and are used to signed pathways, especially on farmers land! This would probably be a great site for group camping as its very rustic and you're allowed camp fires and pitch your tent practically anywhere, although its not easy to find a flat area away from the actual house. If you want peace and quiet, great rural rolling scenery, no pub to pop into after walking and a feel of wild camping, this is the place for you.

A very good spot
