Twll Y Clawdd Touring and Camping Park is a ten minute dive from the base of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and five minutes from the town of Caernarfon, so there is something for everyone! Welcoming tents and tourers across 35 pitches with the option of electric too, this site also has a stylish bell tent too for up to four! The site caters for four legged friends with an enclosed exercise field. Ten minute drive to the coast.

Absolute gem of a find. The hosts of this site are super friendly & made a fabulous first impression. We booked very last minute & the hosts were excellent with helping with our queries. We also needed to cancel part of our group booking with 24 hours notice and again, they couldn’t be more helpful! The site itself is wonderful, we travelled with our 2.5 year old and were a little nervous initially. Very clean facilities & really quiet considering it’s Summer Hols! There was so much to do in the nearby area that we didn’t stop the entire time - we’re already looking at dates to book again.

The reception was very inviting and the owners gave friendly vibes. The site throughout was immaculate and the grounds were well maintained. Very clean site and owners were really welcoming and a joy to meet. Recommend this site to anyone and will return very soon.

What can be said about this site? This is the last night of our week and I can honestly say that this site is fabulous. From pulling onto site Friday the owners have been extremely hospitable. I have enjoyed our chats and they are so welcoming. The site itself is well kept. You can appreciate the hard work that is entailed to ensure a great experience is had by all. The amenities are clean with nice hot showers and a plug socket for hairdryers etc. There are large grass areas for the kids to play happily for hours. The pitches are a nice size and well kept. This site is a perfect base for Snowdon and many tourist attractions within a short drive. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Thank you so much for making our holiday enjoyable and memorable. You have a beautiful site, keep up the good work. For the couple of moaners that have given negative reviews, if you want a home away from home, stay at home. This is camping not the Hilton ☺️

We have just arrived home from an amazing stay at Twll Y Clawdd Touring and Camping Park. This is by far the cleanest campsite we have stayed on. The owners are really friendly and the location is stunning. I would highly recommend to anyone wishing to visit this part of Wales and we will definitely be returning next year.

We really loved how much space we were given in the non electric hook up camping field. Dan, Sophie and William were extremely friendly and helpful. The lawns were immaculate, even in the dog walking field. Appreciated the dog waste bin. Great stay. Many thanks, we'll be back.

Very friendly and welcoming owners. Lovely clean facilities and they were very open to feedback (I said nearly all campsites lacked shelving and/or hooks in the toilet/shower blocks) to put toiletries or PJs etc after showering. The grass pitches are really well maintained and cut short (even the dog's exercise field).

Would definitely stay again. Near to Snowdon and the beach. The camp is child-friendly and the staff are lovely. Our 2 children (9 and 5) spent every evening playing with the other kids on site. Only down side was there are no sanitary bins and as I had a 5 year old to get showered with me, I found it hard to keep everything dry as the cubicles are small and have no shelves for a dry area in the toilet blocks. Nevertheless, I managed and it wasn't a deal breaker.

Next time you come feel free to use the fold down seats in the cubicles or the hooks on the back of the door to keep your clothes dry! Beautiful, well maintained and clean site. Found the owner to be a bit judgmental on arrival, asking questions as to why we chose that particular site and where we came from! He would have known our pinpoint address from the booking surely! I also didn't like how the owners came around taking pictures for their Facebook page.

I can only apologise if either of us came across as intrusive or judgemental upon arrival. We like to try to get to know our guests and to make them feel welcome on arrival, quite the opposite of the impression we appear to have left you with. Our questions are nothing but small talk and an ice breaker, never any judgement here. With regards to our social media, we try to update regularly and will often ask people if that’s okay. And of course, respect visitors answer if they would rather not feature on any social media platform. We would never take or post any picture of any guest or their accommodation without checking first, and as you said at the time you didn’t want to feature, and therefore did not. We appreciate you’ve taken time to write this review and wish you many a happy camping trip in the future! :)

A brilliant site with great views of the mountains and countryside. Sophie and Dan are great. The toilets and showers nice and clean. Will definitely be back.

What an amazing campsite. We stayed for two nights to climb Snowdon. The owners were superb - on hand when we needed them, but left us alone to relax and enjoy the campsite - exactly what we love. The owners knowledge of the local area and routes to climb Snowdon was superb and we climbed a brilliant route due to their recommendation. Toilet and shower block was lovely and clean with lots of hot water. Grass was short which was superb - you didn't get wet feet going to the toilets! Washing up facilities were clean and tidy. An absolute gem of a site.

My friends and I had a great time at the campsite, it was beautiful and peaceful. The facilities were lovely and clean, you can tell the place is well looked after and the guy who worked there was really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

This is a great site and the owners, Dan and Soph, have worked hard to create, with a dedication rarely seen, their dream site. They are very friendly and welcoming, also they will when asked, give you an insight into what is in the local area. The site is in a great location, with easy access to bus services which can take you to several North Wales visitor attractions. There are also a few shops not far away and a pub within walking distance.

Amazing stay, would highly recommend. Arrived quite late and was greeted at reception, was a smooth process. Stayed on the tent field which has a slight slope but doesn't affect the stay as the pitches were flat. Facilities were great, very clean and modern. Only issue we had was that the hot water in the dish washing area wasn't working so had to get some hot water from the wc taps. 10 mins from Caernarfon/Llanberis and not far from Bangor. There's a Co-op two minutes up the road which is handy and also ordered some food from Just Eat direct to the campsite. Dogs are welcome which is great. Would definitely stay again.

I'm sorry you used the WC, unfortunately the taps were on the sinks the wrong way round so there is hot water, but due to having such a busy winter, we've just not had chance to swap them - however that's being changed this very minute so thank you for bringing it back to our attention :) We hope to see you again soon!

Stayed for 3 nights and definitely looking forward to coming back. We had a lovely chilled weekend, made even better as the weather was glorious. Really friendly and welcoming hosts. Site is quiet and exceptionally clean, lovely new toilet/shower block.

We had a lovely stay at this campsite, its been done beautifully by Dan and his family. What a wonderful piece of land that they have, lovely to watch all the birds and listen to the amazing dawn chorus, surrounded by trees. We took ourselves over to the campsite on the hill to watch the sunset through the trees, which made it so atmospheric. We're glad we found this campsite at the last minute as it suited our needs. Good facilities and kept very clean by Dan and his lad! It was nice to be the first folding camper on site too and have people appreciate our retro travel companion. We would definitely stay here again, great location as a base for getting around North Wales. Really friendly and welcoming owners who have recently taken over and renovated the site in November 2023. Considering the winter we've had, they've done a cracking job!

A fantastic location, with great friendly family owners. The site was clean and constantly maintained. The views were great, there was also 2 shops near by and a pub 15 mins walk away. We have just come back today and we want to book again, I can't recommend this camping site enough. A great welcome from the owners and they were so friendly as was there lovely little boy always around helping out his dad, An absolutely lovely family atmosphere with a lovely great big dog exercise area. The place is immaculate, as were the shower blocks. We had such a lovely time with our 2 older sons, our 9 yr old daughter and our dog. It was fabulous and we will definitely be back.
