Perfect, small clean and very friendly site!

Perfect - small quiet and friendly site. V ery clean and well kept, a credit to the owner Sean, who was very welcoming and on hand throughout our stay to offer help/advise when required. Some lovely walks straight from the site! Highly recommend.

Fantastic site!

A gem of a small site - on the edge of Kettlewell. Perfect for a quiet get away. Facilities kept clean and the owner on hand and friendly and helpful

Peaceful gem of a site

Lovely well kept peaceful site, within walking distance to Kettlewell village with numerous pubs and tea room. Lots of walking straight from the site, Dales Way footpath being very close.

Glamping pod

The glamping pod was extremely well equipped, clean and comfortable. The campsite is in a beautiful setting and, as advertised, is a very quiet site. The owner is friendly and helpful.

Quiet site

Lovely quiet, clean camping pod with plenty room to sit out. Spotless shower and toilet area. Sean was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful scenic area with lovely walks from the door. Great to have 3 pubs and 2 cafes within walking distance. Worth noting that the pods back on to a road with some traffic noise, especially early morning.

A well run quiet site, very clean and well maintained

A well run camp site within easy reach of kettlewell, only 5 minutes walk where you can find 3 pubs. Very clean quiet site. Plenty of walks straight from the camp. Will return.

Amazing stay

Arrived at the campsite and it was in a beautiful location with 6 designated pitches with electric points. Straight away we could tell that the campsite site was well maintained. They are 2 chickens onsite who are extremely friendly (especially when you have food). The toilets and showers were very clean and there is a sink area where you can wash your pots which are equally as clean. We hadn't brought our outside electrical adaptor, but the owner was happy to lend us one for our stay. This is a very quiet site as its adults only and the only noise you get is from the sheep and birds. I would highly recommend this campsite.

Amazing place, please stick to the rules

This was our second trip to Wharfe Camp and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sean is a great host and will take good care of you. The site is immaculately clean and is well situated just out of Kettlewell. This is a quiet site and ideal to chill out and relax, listening to the sounds of nature. This works well because all guests keep to the rules and everyone has a brilliant time relaxing in a stress free environment.

Lovely getaway

Great campsite and staying in the Pod was lovely, had everything we needed. Unfortunately, the mattress was too soft for me so after two nights, I had quite a bit of back pain so we actually came home early. Whilst the evenings were really quiet, we found the noise from the road quite loud during the day on the weekend. If you are out hiking or swimming, this most likely wouldn't both you. A stunning area and the views are amazing.

Perfect spot in Kettlewell

Really lovely little site, very close to Kettlewell but far enough to be nice and quiet. The owner was very friendly and explained everything when we arrived, even gave us recommendations of things to do. Only one shower but as there are so few pitches this wasn't a problem. Already considering booking a return trip!

Little gem

An absolute haven for those seeking calm and relaxation! With only 7 camping sites and 2 pods, this site is small but perfectly formed. An adults only and designated "quiet site" meant the only things that could disturb you were the sheep in the neighbouring fields and the birdsong! The site is well laid out with shower/toilet/washing up facilities only a few steps away from the main field. The block was always clean although with only 1 shower this meant having to wait your turn some mornings, but good was hardly a big deal. There's also the village of Kettlewell a stone's throw down the lane (less than a 5 minute walk) with tea rooms, pubs and an ice cream shop! Sean who owns the site, was super welcoming and was always quick with a hello if you passed him, taking time to chat to all the campers. We had a great 3 night stay and would definitely recommend Wharfe Camp to anyone seeking some peace and quiet

Wharfe Camp in Kettlewell

Wharfe Camp is an excellent campsite. In fact, I would go so far as to say it is probably one of the best, if not the very best we have been to. It was extremely clean, had a superb location in terms of view and excellent river and fell walks on the doorstep. There were also 3 pubs, a café, deli and an ice cream parlour in the village which made eating out very easy. Sean, the owner was always on hand to help and advise. The service was excellent. The shower, toilets and wash basins were spotless and warm - a real treat on a cold morning. I would really very much recommend Wharfe Camp if you want a quiet, clean and trouble free break in a stunning location. Thank you.

Fantastic adults only site

What a little gem of a site, virtually in the centre of Kettlewell. We were greeted by Sean, the proprietor, on arrival with a big smile and all the site information. He has only just taken ownership of the business and his passion to make it succeed was very obvious. The facilities are more than adequate for a site of this size, all very clean and well presented including the free shower. Fantastic location at the base of the Dale Valley, great back drop which ever way you pitch your van or tent. We are already planning a re-visit to the site which will include taking friends with their campervan - they will love it!

The campsite is in a great location with beautiful views. The facilities are clean and well kept. Perfect for a quiet night after a long day of hiking!

Calm, quiet and beautiful

We loved our stay at Wharfe Camp in Kettlewell (late August 2024). Keith and Lucy were very welcoming and helpful as we arrived, and when we realised we had forgotten a pan to cook in (!) they lent us one. Yet, at the same time, they allowed us the peace and quiet we hoped for and did not fuss. The facilities were clean and of a good standard - and the shower was warm. We'd definitely return.

Pod stay!

Enjoyed the stay, lovely well equipped pod in a good location. We love the fact it’s adult only and pet free and the views at the back are gorgeous. The shower could be better but it’s a minor point. Would stay again and recommend to others

Beautiful quite campsite

Beautiful location with a lovely village with 3 pubs within walking distance. All the facilities at the campsite were clean and didn't have to wait for a shower ever, even though there was only 1. Lovely walks from the campsite. Would book again, as so many places to visit but not enough time.

Very good all round. Only dislike was coin-operated shower.

Thank you for your review. We have thought lots about how the 20p shower could be managed and if we could have it free and just charge more for camping in-line with the tariff of the other local campsites. However, we like to keep our prices lower, especially with the cost of living, and also want to avoid the situation of someone using the shower for a long period of time and therefore not being available for the other campers. We still hope you visit again. 🙂

Lovely quiet site

Just had a four night stay at Wharfe camp Kettlewell. Absolutely perfect location for walks and beautiful scenery. Keith and Lucy were perfect hosts and the facilities were very clean and adequate for a small site. Highly recommend.

Lovely and quiet

Lovely area, welcoming hosts, site is a bit of a slope which makes cooking and sleeping interesting, a couple of bricks (supplied) under the table legs helped. Showers and toilets are all clean - make sure you have 20p or £1 coins for them, it's 20p for 2 minutes. Small freezer onsite as well, which was good for the ice packs. All in all, a lovely site for a weekend away.

The very gently sloping site has its benefits when raining which helps to avoid waterlogged tents, which is a plus with the great British weather 😅 We hope you visit again and suggest pitching your tent so that you're lying feet down the very gentle gradient for sleeping.

Small but perfectly formed

Great little park with only 5 tent pitches plus 2 pods and 1 hardstanding for a small campervan. Adults only and no dogs. 😎 On site facilities include 2 'proper' toilets, 2 sinks and a coin operated shower. There are also pot wash facilities. Only 5 minutes walk from Kettlewell where you'll find at least 3 pubs, an ice-cream vendor, coffee shop and village store. Lots of great walks nearby. Only small negative is a slight incline on the pitch.
