This was an absolutely beautiful location. Quiet and relaxing. The pod was cleaned to a very high standard, as was the hot tub which was checked each morning for cleanliness. There was lots of outside space to play games and the children around us were having a fantastic time flying kites and just generally having fun. My only negative was that it was extremely hot when we stayed and a fan would have been much appreciated. I would advise anyone to take fly spray with them in the hot weather too. But a fantastic stay had by all of us, thank you 😊

A beautiful place to take a short break after our recent wedding. It was very dog friendly with lots of space for our two to wander round (on their tether) whilst we relaxed nearby.

Lovely site with a really nice pod that was clean and decorated on arrival (celebration pack included). I would recommend, good facilities including ensuite, TV and kitchen facilities. Nice quiet site to relax and unwind. Hot tub temperature was perfect too. Local pub in walking distance too, around 10 minutes away.

Lovely stay at a peaceful and private location away from crowds of campsites on an Easter bank holiday! These cabins are well equipped and quite spacious with own shower toilet and kitchenette. The hot tubs make it it a luxury and relaxing addition. Great to have a barbecue and fire pit under the stars!

We had a fabulous holiday. The location was ideal; accessible, peaceful and close to places to visit. The pod was beautiful and little touches such as bunting and fairy lights made it visually appealing. The internal areas were well presented and equipped with all you need (microwave, dishwasher and fab en-suite). The one aspect that could have improved the overall experience would be the quality of the mattresses (quite thick resulting in a bad back). We would definitely book again.

Clean and surprising spacious pod, well equipped. Lovely location, weather was terrible but didn’t stop us going in the hot tub which was fun! Only gripe was paying an extra £18 for a bag of logs which I could have purchased for a third of the price in Bedale.

We appreciate your feedback about the cost of the logs. The firepits can be part of the glamping experience we offer here at Sedgewell. Some of our guests use the firepits and also enjoy the convenience of ordering logs onsite. Other guests choose not to use the firepit which of course is fine, too. Our stay was fantastic, so peaceful and secluded from the busy city life. The pods are spacious and had plenty of space between each neighbour, the views are fantastic with no outside noise or lighting, no street lighting or light pollution from the city. I was disappointed that you had to pay £40 for bedding etc or bring your own, but don't let that put you off. Highly recommend a minimum of two nights, our next visit will be longer and we might take our six year old along too! We'll also purchase the campfire and the hot tub which was very warm and clean with a lovely shelter with fairy lights. The pod was well heated, even for winter time. We were surprisingly happy with the temperature of the hot tub. Great stay and will be visiting again.

The bedding is an optional extra service that we provide if required: many guests prefer to bring their own bedding. The hot tubs are a lovely addition and can help make the Sedgewell glamping experience very special, particularly as they are temperature controlled and are the perfect way to relax after a day exploring the area. Our campfires are an optional extra and we provide the kindling and the timber if needed for an additional tariff. They are another way of creating some great memories during a stay with us. Absolutely tranquil, peace and quiet. Very clean cabin, all surroundings on the grounds well tended to. You can hear a slight road noise but after 10 minutes of being there you don't really notice, as you're too chilled out.

The location is beautiful and a short drive from some good pubs in the local area. The lodges and hot tubs are kept lovely and clean with fairy lights and bunting! The outdoor area is spacious with good seating. I would say the price is a little expensive based on the facilities on site (just one small park and an unstaffed 'shop' with marshmallows, TVs weren't working because of a national issue but price not reduced, had to bring own bedding, sheets, pillows, had to pay extra for fire pit/logs). Overall I would recommend the stay but would warn it's on the pricey side.

We keep our lodges spotless and the fairy lights and bunting are a definite plus. So we are very grateful to read this positive feedback. With regards to your other comments. We will respond to them individually. Our glamping site has always been about a sense of peace, tranquillity and quiet, with close access to a pub for those that want one. As such we've kept the facilities to a minimum as there are plenty of places to visit nearby and lots of walking routes literally on the doorstep. We are a small site and as such we don't have a full shop. A handful of larger Wigwam Sites have shops onsite, however our honesty shop serves our site very well. There are plenty of local shops nearby in Bedale and Northallerton. The TVs, as you say, are not receiving a signal from the local transmitter, and this has affected the entire area. The TVs are provided free of charge in the cabins and the transmitter is awaiting repair at the moment. All our customers can pre-order and pre-pay for bedding ahead of their visit if they so wish; just as many of our guests prefer to bring their own linen, which of course avoids the linen tariff, which we charge to cover laundry costs. This is standard practice at many sites. Lastly, we haven't as yet heard of a glamping site that doesn't charge for logs for the firepits. The firepits are optional and as such, guests pay for the excellent quality timber if they want, so again this is a standard practice for what is often one of the best parts of a glamping break. To ensure the highest quality timber we source it from a local business who only use timber from sustainable sources and which have the Woodsure 'Ready to Burn' certification. Of course, your comments are most welcome and we always welcome feedback, positive or otherwise. Had a lovely break here. Close to amenities. Nothing too much trouble for staff Had a problem with flies from nearby farm and they went over and above to help with this. Definitely recommend.
