Set in Exmoor National Park with breathtaking sea views, Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is a great choice for anyone looking for a slice of both countryside and coast. There's a large variety of non electric, electric and serviced grass and hardstanding pitches, for both campers and tourers. Or choose one of the glamping pods or geodomes for something a little extra. Pop down to Blacklands Beach for a day on the sand, a lovely getaway for all.

This site is amazing! Very well kept, everywhere was clean and tidy, the dog field was huge and there were great views from lots of the pitches. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful, and there was a food van in the evening and fresh hot breakfast pastries available to pre order. It's worth noting that it's a very steep decent/ascent to Lynton and Lynmouth. Unfortunately, there's no bus service, however we used Riverside Taxis to bring us back up a couple of times who provided a great service!

Immaculately clean, great facilities and very friendly staff. I stayed in a dog friendly pod and it exceeded my expectations. Clean, comfy bed, equipped with all the essentials and even has fairy lights around the bed. Would recommend this campsite and hope to return with the family.

Very well laid out and maintained site. Great views to Lynmouth. Stayed on a fully serviced pitch - no problems at all. Some of the approach roads are quite steep so make sure your clutch is in good working order. Facilities were very clean, small shop with essentials.

Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is an exceptional campsite. The staff are all extremely friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional and they go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. The facilities are of an excellent standard, good capacity and very clean. Scenic views of sea and/or wooded valleys from the pitches. Lynmouth and Lynton are lovely villages and can both be reached via pleasant off-road woodland walks. The staff recommended lots of things to do locally, some highlights included visiting Valley of Rocks just outside Lynton and dinner at the 14th century Rising Sun in Lynmouth. We will return to the site before too long I'm sure!

We've just got home from a fabulous week staying at Lynmouth Holiday Retreat on one of the the Bay view pitches. Wow! What can I say? What a beautiful location and we couldn't fault the site at all. Tranquillity, spotlessly clean, lovely little shop, incredible walks and views. We couldn't have wished for better and can't wait to book again and bring our family and small grandbabies too. Thank you for a truly memorable holiday.

This was a great campsite. The pitches were large and having a patio table was a bonus. The views were great. Fantastic dog walking and an enclosed field for a run but plenty of lovely walks. Dog shower was a nice addition. The food van was amazing lush food. We had a Tex-Mex and were not disappointed. You can order from a bakery in reception for next morning. The showers, toilets and all facilities were spotless, 5 stars from us. Dishwasher too and you could hire power banks. This site really has it all. Very tranquil at night. The area itself has a lot to offer, Lynton and Lynmouth within walking distance. We definitely will be returning for a week this year. What a lovely find.

This is without a doubt a hidden treasure of a site. From the breath-taking views, to the cleanliness and fabulous maintenance of the site. The staff are amazing. From the moment you get there, you're met with a warm welcome. At reception, you can order freshly baked bread and pastries for the morning. On site itself, there's a good wagon that's open on Thursday to Saturday and on a Tuesday the pizza van comes round. All food is amazing and to a high quality. The facilities are spotless and they even have a separate shower and toilet for people with disabilities, you will need a radar key for this, but it's a great idea to prevent everyone using it. They also have 2 family shower rooms which is a great idea for parents with young children. The site itself is situated in an ideal location for several seaside places. There's a foot trail to Lynmouth if you enjoy a walk. It's peaceful and tranquil and can't wait to return next year.

This is our fourth trip in our new campervan and it is our favourite campsite to date. The grounds are stunning and the views over the coast are really beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Staff were present and friendly, very knowledgeable of the area. Stayed on an electric pitch in the Bay View area which had a fantastic view over the Bristol Channel and Wales in the distance. Facilities were clean and accessible. A very short ride into Lynmouth, though be warned it's a steep uphill back to the campsite. I enjoyed my stay and will be coming back again in the future.

Excellent hard standing pitch. Excellent views. A lovely steep walk down to the Lynmouth - even the 6 & 8 year olds managed it. Wonderful hosts. Lovely clean bathrooms and showers! We would definitely stay again. A tip: pre-order their baked goods for breakfast. We didn't and they ran out - gutted! A wonderful site, thank you!

We were a little disappointed to turn up and find the public house next door was now permanently closed. We had only catered for ourselves for 4 nights (stayed for 5) expecting to be able to eat out one of them. We set ourselves up not to have to drive anywhere, so we walked into Lynton and Lynmouth which is a very steep climb and not for anyone unfit. You definitely need a car to visit anywhere if you're not an avid walker. Great views from the campsite. Only one suggestion and it's nothing major... maybe some hooks on the back of the toilet doors in the ladies bathroom, somewhere to hang a bag or coat. Other than that it's a very well run and friendly site.

Absolutely lovely campsite. Amazing views, amazing facilities, everyone's really friendly and very welcoming. Great if you have a dog, really nice area for them. Only draw back is ticks, but that's just nature. Food van if you don't want to cook, lovely walks around the area and if you don't want to walk back to site then taxi service is fast efficient and reliable.

Just had a great stay at Lynmouth campsite. The pod was spotless, the site was quiet and was a great location for local walks and sights . My only gripe was the tepid temperature of the water in the women's showers. My partner said the temperature in the men's shower block was roasting. The site may want to investigate this. Otherwise I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed for 3 nights with my wife. A wonderful place to relax with silence and nature all around. Close to the city and attractions, beautiful hiking trails and views, Clean and good standard facilities. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay here for four days! We were really lucky with the weather, it couldn't have been better. The site is really well run, the staff at reception were really friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to visit. It is a nice quiet site that is only 30 minutes walk from Lynton and Lynmouth. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and can recommend it to anyone!

As a first time user of not only this site but outing with a van and family, I couldn't be more impressed. A simple, nice sized and clean campsite with very pleasant staff. Only minor is the pub is not currently open, but I understand it is not linked to the site and also a sign of the times.

Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Immaculately keep site & facilities. Best way down and up to Lynmouth/Lynton is across fields and down to West Lynn Bridge. Suggest walking poles and good shoes. Would definitely use this site again. Shame the pub/hotel next door is currently closed. The site would do well if they stocked more beverages and hot food/meals maybe.
