Beautiful surroundings

Lovely campsite. Well laid-out and clean. Booking was easy. Dogs welcomed and plenty of idyllic walks.

Really easy, practical stay

Everything was really clean and easy to access. The signposting was easy to understand and really helpful. The location is beautiful and peaceful but also super close to the M6! Perfect for a stop over on our way up to Scotland.

A different site

An easy-to-access and well-provided site in a nice location. I liked the fact that you pay for hook up via a coin-meter on pitch. If you have a longer caravan as we have, please note you will need chocks for wheels and jockey as some pitches are quite sloping. All pitches are fully serviced. Lovely to have alpacas and rare breed sheep and goats next to the pitches. Would very much recommend this site.

2 night stay

Lovely views and lovely llamas, alpacas, sheep in fields surrounding you. Only downside is that some pitches are on so much of a slant, we could not get anywhere level. Even with ramps, we were fairly uncomfortable. Location was lovely and walk to pub easy to follow as grass is cut accordingly. Showers and toilets clean with plenty of hot water. Well-secured site with gated and coded entrances. Need £1 or £2 coins for electricity meter at pitch - remember to take some.

Very quiet just as we like it

Lovely clean place, quiet, lovely with good walks for dogs. Bins were a bit far away. Nicely laid out pitches. People who were staying on the site weren't friendly.

Great value pod stay!

The Pod was clean and well laid out. There was good shelter from the sun provided by the front of the pod and sturdy rings to clip the dog to. Although the listing mentioned needing to provide your own towels and bedding, we were not informed that that non hand soap, sanitiser or even washing up liquid would be provided. This was a little disappointing and I would suggest that this be something that be provided for guests. There wasn't a huge amount of privacy as there wasn't much spacing between the pods. Making it pretty easy to hear other people's conversations and music despite it not being at an excessive volume. The farm walk was nice and scenic but the signs which were quite frequent initially, did just seem to randomly stop, leaving you unsure if you've taken an incorrect turn.

Loved the peace and tranquillity, the stars at night were wonderful.

Love this place!

Such a great site. Wherever you pitch, the views are stunning. Dog walk excellent and facilities spot on. We stayed at high season with a full site and had a great time. Never felt busy. The electric meter idea is great - you don't need a lot in summer and it saves on fees as the site rate is really reasonable. Will be back.

Lovely site

Very well kept quiet site. Large fully serviced pitches with lovely views. Handy for the National Trust properties we wished to visit.

Well maintained site

Well maintained site with fantastic Cheshire views. Good secure site and well maintained. Range of pitch locations, hard standing and grass. The only downside are the toilet and shower blocks which are clean, but basic

Amazing

The place was quiet and peaceful with the most amazing views. The dogs loved the walks round the fields. We loved the walk to the pub. The hot tub was basic but lovely deep, warm and relaxing. Will definitely book again.

Beautiful

Amazing and they did it up with balloons and banners as it was mine and my partners joint birthday, couldn't do more for us. Was clean, quiet and relaxing. Was perfect, just what we needed 😊 Thankyou to Nick xx

Nice site well kept but not into communal toilet and shower

Lovely site very well kept grounds the only thing we didn't like were the couple of toilet/showers that were for both male/female. l myself does not like to use a toilet or shower used by males we also felt there wasn't enough facilities for the amount of m pitches.

Toilets let it down. Situation and walks had been given a great deal of thought.

Stay in Woodland Hut

Lovely quiet break with my husband and dog. Well equipped woodland hut with gorgeous views. Loved the farm work….great for those with dogs.

Stayed in the owl pod for my boyfriend’s birthday away, had everything we needed and was as described online. The site was well kept and spacious with directions on walks to go on, also received a little information pack sent by Nick before our stay. Would really recommend for a peaceful staycation!

Truly excellent

Absolutely lovely site, the showers were higher pressure than my one at home! Great views of Cheshire including the sun set over Jodrell Bank telescope from our awning. Facilities really clean, the farm walk was lovely! Quick 3km lap around the ground. Fun watching the goats and alpacas. We only live a half hour away but it felt so remote and peaceful it could have been a million miles from home. Highly recommend! Very professional. Only recommendation is with electricity, we way overdid it putting £3 on the meter and only using 20p for our one night stay. The meter rates are really reasonable so just go one pound at a time.

Fantastic Site!!

This was our first time at this site and it’s fabulous!! Easy access and pitching, all very clean and tended to. Toilets and Shower, very clean and kept so. Easy acces on foot to the Red Lion Pub, serving very good, value for money food. Easy vehicle access to Jodrell Bank and with large towns all around if you want the retail experience. It’s a great place, well worth a visit. Thanks Nick, good job done.

Lovely site

First time staying there. The site was great, quiet and had wonderful views. Found a nice pub just down the road called The Swettenham Arms, which served good food and there were some nice walks nearby. Will certainly be back.

Beautiful site with panoramic views

Very tidy and well maintained site in a beautiful location with very clean facilities, pitches are well laid out and signposted. Only one downside, which is having to pay for electric on a meter. I understand the economic climate with utility costs at the moment, but I would have rather just paid a bit more for the pitch. There is a booth you can easily get change from but I just didn't like the uncertainty of not knowing how much you were using. We had booked the site to visit friends and attend a party on the Sunday, so we were not in the caravan very long. 1 hour on the Saturday evening and then Sunday until 1pm and then 7pm until 10pm. We turned heating and everything off overnight but still woke on Monday morning to the meter having gone down £3. In total, we spent an extra £10 on electric, but think that was mainly heating as we have no gas presently.

Thank you for your review Joanne, I appreciate the meter part of your review. After my tariff quadrupled last year, it left me with little choice really. Yes, I could have increased my pitch fee considerably, but I thought it was the fairest way to go as some guests use very little electric, feedback has said using gas helps a lot and works out a lot cheaper. My tariff has dropped by half now, so cost is minimal

Campervanning at Welltrough

Welltrough Hall Farm is a lovely little site. It is situated amidst Cheshire farmland and had the added bonus of sheep and alpacas onsite. The facilities are great - loved the music in the very clean toilets. Electricity is via a pay as you go system but has the normal hook ups. Most hardstanding plots (if not all) had water. The views of the Jodrell Bank telescope are something different. The service provided in advance by the team was detailed and the area around the farm has some very nice pubs at a short walk (through fields) or a short drive. All in all, super!

Amazing pod!

Stayed in the badger pod over bank holiday and it was perfect! Everything you need for a peaceful stay, beautiful views from the pod and the hot tub! Fence around the pod was perfect if you take your dog, like us, as it was secure - pods with fences around are hard to come by! Would 100% stay again!

Quiet with lovely views

Very quiet with lovely views. Electric tripped more than once but sorted by the owner. Nice dog walk with pub at the end. When I booked didn't know that electric was to be paid for separately.

Fab stay!

This was our second stay at the glamping pods and it was another great stay! There's a lovely walk which we did twice that was very lovely and refreshing and we also had dinner at the old pub (The Trap), which was so delicious. There is also a lovely ice cream place nearby called Bidlea Dairy and it is delicious. The pod was lovely and clean and tidy and also smelt very clean. We couldn't recommend these glamping pods enough. Thank you Nick for a great stay!

Great stay

Lovely small site with some farm animals. Adults only is a bonus, very quiet with great views. Nice dog walks and tracks mown to local pubs. It was our 2nd visit there with a touring caravan. Only thing that would make it better is a couple more loos and showers. Would definitely return.
