Travelling friends

We stayed just one night on our way north . What a fantastic site situated just off the motorway. It was extremely quiet and very well maintained. Plus extras In Shower facility like cotton buds hand cream and nail files etc . Very nice touch . I would definitely use this site again . The owner was very accommodating and understanding. Also a very nice pub opposite.

Fantastic campsite

What a gorgeous campsite this was. Our first time here and we will definitely be going back. Clean, well designed. Lovely, clean showers and toilets. The 20ps for the shower are not an issue and you get a long time for 20p, about 3 minutes. They have plenty of change for this in the office. Friendly owners. So peaceful and relaxing. There's a lovely pub just minutes away. The canal walk right next to it was stunning and we saw loads of wildlife. Perfect for the lakes and walks. And a great stop over just off the motorway. There's a little bit of noise from the motorway but it's minimal. Later at night we heard nothing. Highly recommend. Loved it.

Ideal location and amazing facilities

After 15 years of refusing to camp, I finally conceded and came away with my husband and 2 dogs. We had beautiful weather. The campsite is 5* and we will definitely be returning. The location is great for both Cumbria and Yorkshire. Beautiful walks and swims for the dogs. Thank you Paul for letting us arrive late after my husband's car broke down 🥴

Excellent, clean, well managed site, convenient location

Wonderful little site with spotless facilities. Just off the M6 at junction 36, the location is fantastic as it's very easy to get to and then perfectly located to drive to either The Lakes or The Yorkshire Dales. I emailed ahead to ask if we could arrive back late after the England match and Paul replied saying he'd put us in the space closest to the gates to make sure we had freedom to come back late without disturbing anyone. Paul lives on site and was busy doing maintenance jobs when we checked in. The 2 toilet/shower blocks were immaculate which is very high up my priority list. Crooklands Hotel is just opposite the site and we were able to walk across for a meal. There's no shop on site, but there's a garage a few minutes walk down the canal which sells all the basic essentials. We highly recommend this site to anyone and will definitely be back.

An excellent stay

We chose this site because it promised to provide everything we are looking for - easy access to the Lakes, a small site close to a good walking environment along the canal for our dog and a good eatery within walking distance. We were not disappointed in any way. Fabulous, clean and organised site, friendly, welcoming and attentive owners - we will definitely be going back.

Very friendly and well kept

We had a lovely time camping. We were welcomed with a very in depth explanation and by the lovely staff. The toilets and showers were kept impeccably clean. The one thing and partly due to the lovely hot weather we had was a lack of a freezer for ice packs but it did not change the lovely stay.

Previously we've offered a freezer for people to use for icepacks etc, but sadly for quite a few reasons, it ended up causing unnecessary aggravations, so it's something that we no longer offer. Beautiful camp site!

Just stayed for 2 nights at Little Acre and had a peaceful and relaxing time. Owner Paul was very welcoming. This is a perfect location for exploring the Lakes and Dales. The campsite was immaculate and all communal areas were spotless. The showers and toilets are some of the best I've seen!! I would definitely stay here again when up that way. Thank you!

Lovely friendly owners, great pub across the road, canal walk for the dogs, spotless facilities. Whats not to love?!! ❤️

Amazing Campsite

Our first time camping and stayed at Little Acre, the staff was super friendly, nice and quiet area, facilities felt very luxurious and very clean. Would definitely be going back.

Lovely

Missed it by driving past the first time. Only fault. The site was immaculate! The toilet and shower block were lovely and clean. We were too late for food at the pub, but will try it the next time I book.

Fabulous Experience

Well, this was my first time camping and a better experience I couldn't have had. Paul was hugely welcoming and the site was fabulous. The showers and toilets were much better than expected. The site had amazing views of the countryside. Nice walks along the canal. A hop skip and a jump from the pub.... Fabulous! Will Def be booking again😁

Little Acres

Was located in parking slot 28 , which was well situated near the shower/toilet/washing up , laundry, bin area. Each camper van had their own little lawn area which was perfect and mowed for ,putting awning out and sitting out , and you didn't face the next campervans lawn so everyone had their privacy . The shower, toilet, washing up area, laundry area , all indoors was in my opinion 5 ***** and all credit to the owners - well impressed. The site is adult only so was one of the quietest sites we've been on after 10pm. Only chatted with the Gentleman owner in our time there , and he was beyond helpful and informative . The Canal walk was heaven for us and our 2 small dogs , and only a 1 min walk from site . A very relaxing weekend - and will definitely book again

Amazing campsite

Great campsite in a good location for connections to Kirkby Lonsdale and Kendal. Very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome from start to finish. Lovely modern shower block and washing facilities.

Great

Very happy with facilities everything you need there very clean the pub near it was very nice as well. There’s only one thing we thought could make it better as there’s not many shops very close you have to drive everywhere which can be awkward with the camper van to park is if they had a facilities for a little shop to just sell bits and bobs like bread just for those mornings you forget something or little bit extra, but apart from that extremely happy with the Place definitely go back again

At one stage we looked at the practicalities of having a small shop onsite, but we struggled to find somewhere onsite that would be suitable, plus, with a well stocked petrol station that is open 24 hours a day and which is only 1/3rd mile away, we realised that it may be something that wasn't a realistic proposition for us. Flying visit

We were only passing by on the way home from Scotland but had a wonderful time at Little Acre. Facilities all excellent, and great to have a pub with good food in walking distance. Nice canal walk with the dog in the morning too.

Lovely stay at little acres

First holiday at little Acre's and I absolutely loved it such a great little campsite so clean,lovley facilities to use from showering to washing your dishes , staff were so lovely on arrival very welcoming happy to chat and made such a fuss over our little yorkie which was his first camping holiday and they were so great with him. Very dog friendly lovely for all the dogs to meet aswell. Felt very safe and secure very much will be going back in the future and will be recommending to other friends with dogs and that love camping thank you very much for a lovely stay and week all the best and thank you again from jacqui , Jordan and roo from scotland

Best site ever

One of the cleanest sites I have ever stopped on in my 20 years of touring all over UK. Would recommend it to all my friends and family.

Great place to stay! Would go again

We stayed a little acre camping site from Friday through to Sunday. It had great access to Windermere and Kendall The shower toilet and washing-up block was great and always clean every time I wanted to use it. Some of the best facilities I've ever seen in a campsite! You can hear the M6 a little bit - but it's like a faint 'shhh-shhh' sound in the distance, kind of like a quiet white noise, never affected how well I slept!

Brilliant Campsite

Paul is an incredibly welcoming and helpful man. The site facilities are superb. The site location is idyllic. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely book in again in the future.

Lovely campsite

This is a lovely, peaceful campsite which is very clean and well looked after. The inside washing facilities are really nice. The manager was really helpful and accommodating. Toilet facilities are new and spacious. Only slight drawback was the number of toilets and showers at peak times. A few more toilets would be good.
