Lovely stay

Was a lovely location away from the noise of the city. Located right next to an airstrip, where we enjoyed watching the planes. Liked the fact that cars have a separate location to park, and a drop off point so you aren't disturbed. Felt safe and comfortable during our stay.

Perfect

We couldn't have asked for more. This campsite is stunning!! The way the pitches are laid out affords you privacy and the facilities are no frills but of excellent quality. The owners genuinely care about their customers and will put right any issues that arise. The views from the site and the surrounding area make this the most wonderful place to stay. Book with confidence, you won't be disappointed.

A little gem!

What a great find. Facilities were great and location excellent for numerous countryside walks. Best bit was the pitches, mowed into the long grass. Really pretty, well kept, and gave us some privacy too. A really quiet, peaceful site. Will definitely be back.

Perfect!

Absolutely perfect! Went for just one night with my toddler and couldn’t have been more well suited! Will be looking to visit again with friends/family! Brilliant site :)

Nice campsite

Next to the airfield so it was fun to watch the small planes fly by and people jumping off their parachutes. I did wake up hearing them in the morning, so if you are a very light sleeper, you might be woken up. Site was well marked, clean and tidy, bench/table and a small fire pit available for sharing between 3 pitches in your area. One of the toilets was quite dirty, but that is probably people not having courtesy for others rather than the fault of the site management. It might be useful for the site to check facilities often to ensure everything stays clean. Overall, a very good experience and would recommend.

Great place

This was a great place to stay and highly recommend to anyone. Super peaceful and quiet and beautiful surroundings.

Great campsite

This is a really well thought out campsite on the edge of a former WWII airfield. Great individual areas of mown grass for you to pitch on, each named after an aircraft type. The facilities are clean & tidy all with toilet paper/paper towels/recycling bags & a fridge available too. Also a nice touch - bags of wood (at extra cost) for you to burn in the provided fire pits. Showers/washing up facilities are in the block too, along with walking directions to the nearest pubs. There seemed to be plenty of random bottles of shampoo about which is handy, if like me you forgot to pack some! Overall this is a great campsite if you need to escape the every day… My only negative was the noisy group who pitched next to me, but that's not a criticism of what is a lovely site. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
