VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Apr 2026 We absolutely loved our stay at this camp site. The facilities were excellent. The showers were clean and had lovely warm water for a shower even though outside temperatures were down past 0! There’s also a good washing up area including facilities for washing clothes if needed. The views from the pitches are unbelievable. The owner left us to set up and then came over to introduce himself and give us some useful information about the town as well as letting us know that there were a pair of eagles nesting on the island. We will definitely re-book this campsite in future as we’re already discussing our return to the highlands and this was one of our favourites of our trip.

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Pitches (Optional Electric) Mar 2026 Shieldaig Campsite is in a fantastic location, perfect for a west coast visit. There was really good communication with the owners Ruairidh and Hazel prior to our stay. Everything was clear and well marked out. The pitches are flat and have a good view. The facilities were very clean, and there was everything you need.
There’s a lovely walk, from the site, round the Shieldaig Peninsula where we were so lucky to see an otter!
The hotel was open and welcoming, however, we were a bit early for other facilities in Shieldaig. Excellent all round.
A perfect winter get away
Glamping Pod - Sildvik Ensuite Glamping Pod Jan 2026 This was the perfect location for a winter retreat and set us up for an amazing New Year exploring in the hills. The pod is very cosy. The heated floor is amazing, the bed is comfy, the facilities are fantastic, the location is perfect, and the view is incredible. The hosts are lovely. We had a lovely few days here to welcome 2026!
