Fernlea Certificated Location offers a relaxing adult only getaway, within 20 minutes of Perth and Dundee. There are electric hardstanding pitches available for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only, all with countryside views. Dogs are welcome too, with a walking area too. For glamping, there is a luxury ensuite glamping pod with a private hot tub, TV and kitchen. Errol village is a 25 minute walk away with shops and a pub!

About the site

The site is in the heart of an agricultural plain called The Carse of Gowrie, located within 20 minutes of Perth and Dundee. Offering an adult only getaway, the site is ideal for those wanting to escape the crowds. There are five hardstanding pitches for members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club only. Campervans, caravans and motorhomes with their own facilities are welcome, with up to six people permitted per pitch. Every pitch includes 10 or 16 amp electric, a water tap with drinking water, and a chemical toilet waste tank with rinsing tap behind the garage. For glamping, there is a luxury pod with a king size bed and bedding. There are modern touches including WiFi, a TV with Netflix and an Amazon Speaker. There is a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans and cutlery. An ensuite bathroom includes Egyptian cotton towels. Outside is a private decking with seating and a wood-fired hot tub! The site is also within easy access to Fife and the southern area of the Highlands. Walkers and bird watchers will find many footpaths by the River Tay and can climb the local hills to see buzzards, hawks, ducks and migrating geese throughout the seasons. Dogs are welcome on the pitches, allowing up to two each. The pod is pet free. Evenings can be spent enjoying a fire pit or BBQ, just please ensure they are raised from the ground.

Site facilities include access to an off road area for dog walking and an information room. The site does not provide toilets or showers, so tourers will need to have their own facilities. The glamping pod has its own private ensuite, WiFi, kitchen and hot tub. An EV charger is available too.

The village is a 25 minute walk or five minute drive away with shops, a cafe, pub and a fish and chip shop.

A note from the site themselves...

The site has our home at the centre, so needless to say we love living here. There are open views across fields to the hills of Fife in the south and the Braes of the Carse in the north. We are trying to be a sustainable as possible, with the site pretty much run by our 20KW of solar.

Just 15 minutes away, the charming city of Perth offers riverside walks, local cafés, and independent shops. Visit the Perth Museum, where you can discover fascinating Scottish history, art and culture, or the Branklyn Garden for a scenic stroll.

Dundee is 20 minutes from the site, a vibrant city by the water. Take your time wandering through the Victoria and Albert Museum Dundee, a modern design museum with striking architecture and creative exhibitions. You can also explore Discovery Point and step aboard the RRS Discovery, the famous ship that once sailed to Antarctica.

For a scenic day out, St Andrews is about 45 minutes away. This seaside town is full of character, with historic ruins like St Andrews Castle, beautiful beaches, and cosy tea rooms. It's also home to the famous Old Course for golf lovers.
