VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jul 2025 Lovely small site, very well maintained and great clean toilets and showers. Helpful when we arrived. Bus stop is few minutes walk away for a trip into Chichester or Selsey. Would definitely stay again
Little gem ..
Shepherd's Hut - Woodie Shepherd's Hut (Dog Friendly) Jul 2025 The location was perfect for access to Goodwood and Chichester.
The huts were well equipped. Lots of space and a very quiet site. Shower and toilet block very clean.
For someone who is not used to camping/glamping this was a pleasant surprise.
Great bus service to get around the local area.

Peaceful campsite with excellent shower and toilet facilities. The electric hardstand pitch was perfect for our ford transit campervan.
We hope to visit here frequently.

We love Chichester and Selsey and this site is perfect for both. Easy access to buses, lovely pub near by that does great food and great service. Lovely dog walks.

Great little campsite, peaceful and quiet, very tidy and clean. Great toilets and showers and although there's only 3, we never had a problem.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Jun 2025 This site was clean, tidy and well laid out, with ample space between vehicles.
The toilets and showers were clean. It was a very short walk to The Anchor which is a nice, friendly pub and the food was good. There was no Wi-Fi service but for one night, this was not an issue.

Lovely, small site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2025 We had a lovely stay here: very good for cycling - route 288.
It was peaceful and uncrowded, with close proximity to good pub for food, also the no 51 bus to Chichester. Owners were very pleasant and helpful, with advice and remedied an electric problem swiftly. We saw deer and rabbits on site! Good, clean, spacious showers with loos, plus one other separate loo.
Only one washing up space - for our stay, this was okay but could do with a couple more. No Wi-Fi. It is just off a very busy road to Selsey but we were able to avoid that and were not disturbed by traffic.

We only stayed one night but we were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and standard of the facilities (having been very disappointed at other smaller sites before). We will be back to stay longer.
Bucket & Spade Holidays Touring
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Jun 2025 Very satisfied with our stay at Bucket & Spade.
We were met on arrival & shown to our plot. Due to our large rig the owner allocated us a large area to turn in & park up. Much appreciated.
Shower & toilet facilities were clean & tidy. The overall campsite was well kept.

The pub just 5 minutes walk was amazing great services and food was very nice.
Caravan stay
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches May 2025 Had a really lovely weekend at Bucket and Spade. A special thank you to Peter who greeted us on arrival, and then went out of his way to help us fix an electrical problem with our caravan. He went above and beyond, solving a very stressful situation.
We will definitely be booking another trip. Many thanks.
Lovely, quiet and scenic spot

Facilities were regularly cleaned to a high standard.
Pitches were spacious and you could choose a range of different camping spots.
The people looking after the site were warm and helpful.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches May 2025 Great stay. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Only reason for not 5 stars all round was no Wi-Fi, no hairdryer and no hot water on last night to wash up. Otherwise, would definitely stay again.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2025 Just stayed at Bucket and Spade in May 2025 and it was excellent. Lovely people and a great site with good walks and just a short drive to the beach.
First class campsite
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches May 2025 Immaculate site, looking way better than the photos online.
The access to the pitches is a pebble one and the hard standing pitches are very good size with lush green grass between. The shower and toilet block had two full bathrooms and one additional toilet with basin. Never needed to wait in line and all was spotlessly clean. The washing up room and chemical disposal was also immaculate.
The site was easy to find half way between the Anchor pub and the Esso petrol station. Had a lovely walk to the village and the Crab and Lobster bar/restaurant.
Highly recommended and clearly very well run.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches May 2025 Lovely quiet site. Large pitches with EHU. Fabulous showers.
Brilliant pub 3 minute walk with excellent food, really friendly and made my dogs very welcome. My first solo trip, I felt very safe. The road was fast moving traffic, but noise level was very acceptable from my pitch and did not give me a problem.
I would go there again.

Beautiful location, stress free stay
Shepherd's Hut - Rusty Shepherd's Hut May 2025 An idyllic setting - perfect location for everything we wanted to do.
We visited West Wittering beach, parked in Hunston and walked along the canal into Chichester, then played crazy golf at Chichester Golf Club nearby.
The shepherd's hut itself was beautiful and the facilities were perfect for our little family. We really enjoyed sitting outside with the fire pit in the evenings watching the sun go down.
Easter getaway
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Apr 2025 Nice little site. Nice toilet block with 2 showers. Massive fields adjoining it which the dog loved. Nice little pub over the road which we had a nice meal in.
Down side is there isn't much else to do. It's off a very busy road with very narrow paths, so difficult to walk anywhere else.
Gorgeous, warm, cosy and well equipped wagon
Shepherd's Hut - Rusty Shepherd's Hut Apr 2025 Gorgeous wagon, well equipped and ingenious carpentry.
It was spotlessly clean on arrival. We were toasty warm at night, and the kids adored the bunk beds. We had a lovely view across a field of yellow flowers, and could see deer at night and rabbits in the morning. We made use of the BBQ and our own little garden area.
We had a great stay - loved Fishbourne Roman Palace, Chichester, the local RSPB reserve and Bosham. Great place to stay for our 3 nights and surprisingly comfortable. Thank you.
Good
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Oct 2024 Hardstanding was good and level. it was a shame there had been so much heavy rain as it made access to and from the facilities a very muddy walk. Maybe a hard roadway to give better access for future consideration.
The pub is really only a 5 minute walk and was very pleasant with good food. The site was good for us to do the things that we wanted in our short break.
Really relaxing stay
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Oct 2024 We chose the Bucket & Spade, initially as we wanted an affordable base close to Chichester.
All others we found online were closed or really expensive. This is quite a simple site but the positives for this site are it's great position and bus stop within yards. We got bus so easily to Chichester. Big showers. Hard standing pitches (although you do have to cross a bit of field/grass to get to them). Pub within a minute's walk. Esso garage and Londis shop within minutes. Lots of footpaths. Beautiful quaint 13 century church to visit.
It was quiet. We saw deer and squirrels. Really met our needs.
