About the site
Previously Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year by Marketing Cheshire, this site is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Quiet and friendly, it's perfect for relaxing in the summer sun or strolling the quaint streets of historic Chester. The site offers a wide variety of accommodations to suit your needs, from cosy pods or spacious hardstanding pitches. There are also grass pitches, yurts and holiday homes - there really is something for everyone. Suitable for camping and touring, the pitches are spread across two fields. Hardstanding pitches are available with or without electric hookup. All pitches are located around the outsides, ensuring the middle area is open with plenty of space. Plus, you'll have fantastic views of the Sandstone Ridge. Oak and Acorn, the cosy pods, can house up to four people. Great for your weekend break away or your annual relaxing holiday, all year round. Oak pod offers you a peaceful night's sleep with a comfy double bed, a small fridge, a kettle and cutlery. Outside, you have your decking, tables and chairs, and a fire pit. In the autumn and winter months, there is an electric fire to keep you warm inside. Sleeps up to two adults and two children. Acorn pod, on the other hand, sleeps 2 people and provides camping without the canvas. This insulated pod includes two camp beds, a kettle and a picnic table. Remember to bring your bedding! There are also grass pitches, yurts and holiday homes available. You may want to explore the peaceful walks on the Sandstone Trail, followed by a drink in one of the many great coffee shops or pubs. With Chester Zoo, BeWilderwood, and other famous attractions just moments away, there's something for the whole family to enjoy. By night, after a fun-filled day, relax under the stars toasting marshmallows on one of the firepits. The staff here understand the importance of quality time and endeavour to make your stay memorable, after all, you don't get many holidays a year so when you do you want it to be the best! You can get away from your daily routines and take a step back in time to a place of bird song and magnificent views to create lifelong holiday memories.
The site is open from 28th February until the end of November. The grass pitches and Willow yurt are available from Easter. Stay from £25/night for 2 people (2-night minimum).

Acorn Standard Camping Pod (Dog Friendly)

A great way to enjoy camping without having to pitch a tent. The pod has two single camping beds (guests supply own bedding), a small table with kettle, washing up bowl, dust pan and brush and a small heater in winter. Access to shared facilities nearby.
Oak Camping Pod (Dog Friendly)
Max 4 people
Suitable for up to two adults and two children, this includes a double bed, crockery and cutlery. There's even a kettle, futon seats/beds and chairs outside. Do bring bedding for little ones. Access to the shared facilities nearby. Dogs welcome.
Willow Yurt (Dog Friendly)
Max 4 people
5m Nomadic yurt with comfy double bed and day bed made up of two for singles children. Furnished with with drawers, small fridge, basic crockery and cutlery. Outside is a decking area with outside picnic table. Pets welcome. Shared facilities nearby.

What time is check-in and check out at Pitch and Canvas?
Check-in is available from 2pm to 7pm for camping, and 3:30pm to 7pm for glamping. Check out is by 11:30am for camping and 10:30am for glamping.
Is Pitch and Canvas dog-friendly?
Yes this site allows dogs unless they are listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
Does Pitch and Canvas allow BBQs and campfires?
Yes but only when raised off the grass.

No, this is a site for couples and families only and group bookings are not permitted.

Does Pitch and Canvas allow awnings, gazebos or pup tents?
One gazebo and one awning is allowed per grass pitch. Pup tents are not allowed.
Can I park near my pitch at Pitch and Canvas? Or Is there parking adjacent to the pitch?
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
