i feel that there should of been a field just for children or those who want to kick a football up into the air as high as they can without regard for your van or camping equipment or ban them ?

What a great campsite. It was my first stay here but I'll definitely be coming back. The main field is lovely and big with nice views and plenty of space even though it was bank holiday weekend. Toilets and showers were clean and I think considering how cheap it is to stay here, £1 for 5 minutes hot water for the shower is very reasonable. Some noise from DofE groups into the evening, but they did observe the quiet hours and no noise from about 9:30pm onwards.
Fabulous!

They're is nothing to fault this wonderful site. The location was perfect. The views were fantastic and the distance from the stunning town of Bakewell perfect. I will be recommending this site to my friends and re-visiting as soon as I am able.

Lovely peaceful site. Only tweak would be a stool of some sort in the shower cubicle.

Quiet and remote campsite reached by very quiet narrow lanes with two hairpin bends. It felt very safe as I was a single camper. Simple farmsite next to farmhouse. For only £8 a night it was great! Fields were mostly flat, Some hook-ups were available. Some hard-standings. Toilet blocks, Showers were only £1 for 5 minutes. Washing up areas with hot water if needed for a fee. Drinking Water freely available as well as a communal fridge and freezer. Not far from Bakewell. Nice owners who cleaned the area regularly.

Really lovely campsite. Facilities are great, all you need! Quiet place - beautiful walks nearby (Lathkill being a great one). Did all our walks based from here. Monyash pub is about a 3 mile walk, over the fields. Hot shower, 20p needed for 1min - comes out hot straight away. The Bull does breakfast if you do venture out in the car, really great. No complaints about the site. Took our spaniel with us, great that it was dog friendly, lovely atmosphere.
A pleasant site with lovely views

Lovely location for hikers and walkers. We were able to choose our own pitch unlike some campsites which allocate one with strict borders, so this was a bonus to start with. Very friendly lady on reception to greet us. Stunning views from the top field - you could see for miles. Family-friendly but quiet site - no late night parties which was good as we are both early to bed, early to rise people. Clean amenities - toilets, washing up room and showers. There is a small charge for the hot water in washing up room and the shower, but the water was lovely and hot, and no annoyance of having to press a button every 20 seconds for the water as it was continuous. I would recommend this site and I would definitely stay here again.

All round great site. I'm not a regular camper but have been to a few around the UK and this one of the best I've been to. Great location, great facilities, lovely ground and the lady on reception is very helpful. This is the perfect location for a first camping trip. I took my seven year old for two nights for his first trip and he absolutely LOVED it! Never once did I worry about his safety or him going to the toilets on his own. I'm generally a little paranoid about safety but not here.
Lovely, quiet campsite in a lovely location

Very quiet campsite in pretty surroundings. Very good value for money. Owner was friendly on arrival and you can choose your own pitch. Toilets were clean and well stocked with loo roll and soap and well lit at night. I didn't use the showers but they looked clean. Washing up area is a good space and there are taps for drinking water. Rubbish/recycling bins are easily accessible and clearly labelled. There is a breakfast van available on weekend mornings but I had brought my own, so didn't sample it. The top field is flatter with the lower field flat-ish at the top, but sloping towards the bottom. I found a good, level spot for my campervan though. Access is easy from a small lane. It is close to Bakewell and also to plenty of walking/cycling trails. Will definitely use again.
