Across 15 acres, guests can choose from grass and hardstanding pitches for tents and tourers, with award-winning facilities nearby. Great for couples and families alike, it's a fantastic base for the Peaks, Derbyshire, and the Staffordshire Moorlands. Campfires and friendly dogs are welcome.

The location of the campsite was lovely. Right next to a pub and just down the road from Hartington village. We usually go away during the week and was the first time going at a weekend. Even though it was busy it was still peaceful and could get pizza in the evening, and breakfast baps in the morning. The facilities were good but maybe a bit on the small side for how busy it gets during peak times.

It was a nice clean site in the Peak District which was nice, but there seemed to be a lack of public footpaths off road to get to Hartington, which meant that we walked along the road with 4 dogs, which was pretty busy. The site was clean and the dog walking field was great as it was large and you could let your dogs off the lead for a run. Was quite a busy site.

Hi Sarah, thanks for your review, Disapointed to read you only gave us 3 stars for location when we have several great walks on footpaths over fields to get to Hartington with no need to use the road, we have all this information in our Pot washing area and in our Shop we have little Maps we hand out. We are a busy site at weekends with eveyone enjoying the great british outdoors and making memories with families and friends. Hopefully you will give us another try sometime,Wayne and the Team

Great site and well situated just outside the village of Hartington. A nice dog friendly pub across the road from the site. The facilities are really good and the standard of showers is excellent. The shop is well stocked with the essentials. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. Will definitely look to book again on our next trip to Derbyshire.

Best campsite I've ever been to. Facilities were spotless. Welcome team were really friendly. Lots of space. Nice and quiet. Beautiful area. Pub very close. 10/10

Just had a really enjoyable 2 night stay in the Event field. A just about full site on a sunny June weekend. All sorts of campers. Couples, families, groups of families, friend groups. A lovely, lively campsite with lots of room for kids to play. There's even a huge field with a football pitch (well away from the pitches). Nice facilities, good camp shop, and really lovely and helpful site managers. We walked into Hartington following the suggested route we saw pinned on the wall in the utility block - really nice - about 1 1/2 hours. Bussed it back; 442 which stops outside the campsite. Good pub opposite with a decent beer garden. Food looked good. Great views from top field. Some pitches are sloping so bring chocs to be on the safe side. Breakfast van at weekends, and pizza van Saturday evening.

Site was spot on and we will be definitely going back later in the year. The site was clean and located in a prime spot in the Peaks with a pub just outside the site. What more could you ask for after a bike ride or post walk. The only down side for us was the pitch location as it was next to the main road

Would definitely stay again. Stayed on the garden pitch. Perfect for our baby and dog to have our own little space. Clean facilities and super friendly staff. Bonus having the horse box in the mornings (weekend) for breakfast.

Very nice and clean, with friendly staff. Lovely touch to have music playing in the amenities and to have the use of a fridge/freezer. Would have been nice to have had more waste disposal areas, including the use of recycling bins.

Hi Christine, many thanks for your review, just touching on your point about recycling, we have 3 recycling points around the Campsite; top field by the gate, in the skip at the entrance and in our Meadow field, all these are sign posted and in our welcome brochure. It's highlighted where these points are and also that Peak Waste have a zero to landfill policy, so all waste is recycled. We hope to see you again at some point. Kind Regards Wayne and the Team

This is an excellent site. Brilliant location for travelling about (Thor's Cave is ten minutes away by car), exceptionally clean with great services, and perhaps above, all the staff are so friendly and helpful - people who genuinely care about you having a good time. The Manifold Pub at the entrance to the site is also a lovely spot for an evening social. Highly recommend this site, particularly with kids (it's nice and quiet and by 10pm all noise is kept to a minimum). The shop is well stocked, the showers and facilities are great and they have a communal fridge/freezer and dryers etc.

Nice, clean and well kept site. Shop had everything you needed. Also had hire fire pits which is rare on most sites now. We had a pitch backing onto the river which was great. Great site and will definitely use again as its only an hour away.

Excellent site with fantastic facilities and friendly staff. Toilet and showers plentiful and very clean. Shop well stocked and reasonably priced. Wi-fi reliable and reasonably quick. Great pub across the road serving good food (best to book). We pitched on the top field at the brow of the hill which was a little windy.

All washing/drying machines require coins, but no change machine. Most tent pitches have a slope, unfriendly manager. Festival field is far from facilities so not recommended if you are less mobile or for small children. Other campers were lovely and friendly.

Sorry to read you had a problematic stay, you only needed to pop in the onsite shop to get change for the washing Machine/Tumble dryers. 95% of our grass pitches are flat and as you can see from the many reviews we are a very family friendly site. We do not have a festival field, all our facilities are within a few minutes walk of all camping fields Kind Regards Wayne and the Team

This is a great site, the toilets/showers/pot washing areas all really clean and plenty of room. Shop on site and a burger van visited one of the days. The pub couldn't be any closer and the food was lovely. Would advise booking. We did a couple of walks from the site from the Manifold Valley visitor centre which has a lovely cafe.

Highly recommended. Waking to the sound of the river burbling past was a delight, as were the site staff. Clean and well maintained facilities and a beautiful setting. Pub across the road was just the cherry on top! And the Sat evening pizza van was delicious. Only feedback/suggestion would be adding a secure bike lock-up, but that really is splitting hairs.

The staff at the campsite were friendly and helpful, amazing views and all facilities were clean and easy to access, campsite is also dog friendly and has access to free WiFi which is great.

Home from a very lovely stay. Would absolutely recommend. Facilities all great, owners very lovely, kind and helpful, and view beautiful. The children loved the sports field and paddling in the river. Lovely food across the road and Hartington village a short drive away and a great day walking to Thor's Cave. Thanks for a great holiday making memories xxxx

Owners are lovely, friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are warm, modern and clean. Really nice option to have a communal fridge and freezer. Lovely sunset view especially from High Field. Clean covered washing up area with large amounts of sinks, with book exchange too. Be aware that bike hire is no longer available from this end of the Manifold trail.
