Amazing place. Excellent location as many beautiful places are near. Quiet and clean. The little shop at the park is good, with normal prices for everything, the staff was friendly. The staff at the reception was friendly. Little play area for kids. The price for a pitch was really good for 2 nights.

Lovely clean campsite, nice showers, well stocked shop and good sized pitches. Playground was a hit with our kids aged 6 and 9. Only downside was the nearby quarry which kept us awake most nights.

Clean, tidy and very well maintained site. Staff friendly. Nice little shop on site and bigger shop 3.8 miles away. Managed to get 4G in the top field. A really good base to explore from.
Pitches could have been bigger

The only thing I would say is the pitches could have been a bit larger for the family unit. A very clean and tidy site.

First time camping at Middlehills. The site was large enough for big tents, as we had no electric you could choose anywhere to pitch on the 2 fields and had plenty of room around the tent. The showers and toilets were clean and had what you needed for a camp trip, would definitely recommend this site and we will be returning ourselves in the future.

This is a much larger site than I had realised. It was very busy and slightly chaotic. The non electric pitches are not marked so you just go where there's space which has its pros and cons. We ended up next to a very large and very loud group who were still shouting at nearly midnight. The facilities were good, clean and had everything you needed and there was a small shop which was great. Staff were friendly. It was remote (about 15/20mins drive from Bakewell) but we found a nice pub 5mins drive away in Brassington.

The campsite is a lovely little site for families. We camped on a non electric pitch and had a great experience. The ground was easy to pitch up on and no allocated spaces, so best to get in early if you want the best spot. There's an onsite shop which was useful when we ran out of matches. The resident pigs gave my toddler much joy every time we walked past and just had to say hello. The playground is very creative and was enjoyed very much by my son and other kids. We had a good time despite the rain! The water was nice and hot for showers, hand washing and pot washing. The only problem we encountered was the showers are on a payment meter which we weren't entirely prepared for, so make sure you have a few 20 pence pieces ready to go. The toilets are also slightly difficult to enter because the doors are very tight to the toilets themselves, meaning you have to practically climb over the toilet. This makes it more difficult when taking small children to the toilet.
Nice clean site but very busy

Nicely situated campsite, fairly big. Nice park area for children, clean toilets and showers. Shop onsite is ok for camping gear and a few essentials. My main fault is that you have to pay for the showers, which is £1 for 5 minutes. If you have a couple of children and adults, this can become fairly expensive. Second fault is that it is too busy, everyone was pitched up with no personal space around tents.

Lovely park in a great location. Pros: good facilities without having to wait. Well-stocked shop on site. Good play area which kids loved. Cons: dogs have to be on lead at all times, this is understandable however a field or sectioned-off area for exercising dogs would be great. Straight onto an A road when you come out of the campsite- no walks without driving somewhere.

Everything was great with this site. Location was spot on for visiting many different places and would have been equally happy to stay on site and enjoy the view. We were on the lower plot with the electric hook ups and it's perfect if you want a quiet time. The top plots were a little livelier and great for families. Chippy on site on a Saturday evening. Small shop with a great range, block of toilets and two blocks of showers (I only marked down on the showers as the water pressure was poor). We highly recommend and will be stopping again.
