Occupying part of what used to be a WWII airfield, Holmsley Campsite offers an ideal location in the New Forest National Park. Within a 15 minute drive of Highcliffe Beach and just 25 minutes from Bournemouth, it is the perfect place for exploring. Campers in tents and tourers have a range of pitches to choose from, including grass, hardstanding and the option of electric. Be sure to also keep an eye out for visiting New Forest ponies!

A very nice stay at Holmsley Camp site. The site is quite remote and a car is needed to travel anywhere off site but the surrounding are stunning and lovely. The staff at the site are very friendly and helpful ! The facilities are great and very clean, the only suggestion would be that there could be more of them with the size of the site and how busy it was. Overall a real nice stay and would definitely stay there again !

With a small young family. Dave recognised our needs instantly and helped up find the perfect pitch after following us on his bike around the site. He went above and beyond to assist. We also had some issues with noisy neighbours over the weekend. I mentioned it to Dave and he immediately went and spoke to the group causing the problem. Great campsite, have everything you need. Thanks again Dave.

Good campsite, showers and toilets. Pitch was fairly flat and site was clean and tidy, I did not use the shop or take-away. There always is a bit of a problem with access to the site as the New Forest ponies collect around the entrance and don't move unless you very carefully approach them in your car and if you are lucky, they will take the hint and make a gap. The site is also good for plane spotting as they come in to land at Bournemouth Airport.

I had a fantastic stay, all the staff are amazing and so so helpful, 2 staff in particular Ju and Pete went over and beyond to be polite and so helpful. I had an amazing time here and will be back again in a few months

On arrival, after having trouble finding the site, as postcode took us to a different location. Staff friendly and welcoming, showed us to our pitch. Site provided all the basic things you need, but didn't appear to be any location to fill up campervan water tank. There was only one location to get your drinking water. The wash rooms are large, which seemed ample for the amount of people there, but often found the sink area dirty and messy (probably due to the amount of people on site) but only one hand dryer. No dog mess bins, so was unsure where l was supposed to put the bags apart from in the general waste bin. Overall, a good site but a bit too busy for me.

No issues at all, thanks! Maybe the price for a small tent, non electric, when I used just a little bit of water, is a tad much. Great location!

We had a fantastic two night stay in our campervan with awning! Our 8-year-old especially loved the newly refurbished playground and the Thursday night pizza from the shop — he declared it the best pizza he's ever had, mostly thanks to all the delicious, gooey cheese! We were lucky to have an excellent grass pitch near both the park and the toilets. It's a large site, and we noticed lots of families brought bikes, making the most of the old airplane tracks and wide roads for riding around. The toilets were cleaned regularly, and the on-site shop was well-stocked with camping essentials, toys, ice creams, and games to keep the kids happy — plus, they even had the emergency jam we forgot! We only live just up the road and have often come here for walks, so it was lovely to finally stay over. We're really glad we did! Even liked the new forest ponies licking our car on the way out!! We will be back.

I can here as a child, a mere few years ago. We camped in the exact same spot! The site was spotless and despite the rain, the toilet blocks and showers were clean and warm. We had a fab time and wished we could have stayed longer. A little disappointed that we didn't get a round of applause from fellow campers after packing up in the rain, with the dog and the world's smallest car. But, we managed to knacker out a patterdale, so it was a massive success. Will definitely be back.

Great location in the heart of the New Forest! Great camp site, in truth the only thing that let it down were the showers and toilet blocks, which were a bit dated. Nothing to ruin our trip at all, really clean and everything worked fine. Staff were friendly and helpful, on-site shop really well stocked. Good playground for the kids which they spent lots of time in. Would definitely go back!

Booked our first break away with our dog in a campervan to see how he'd get on. Had a great break at Helmsley. Everything was well appointed, staff were friendly, shower block and toilet facilities were spotless. Went during term time so quiet with very few children around, which suited us.

We had a wonderful stay at Homesley. Staff were very friendly. The site was huge. Plenty of space for caravan & awning plus car. The facilities were clean every day. The walks just outside the site were absolutely stunning. New Forest ponies everywhere. The site was a good location for woodland walks and beach visits. We would 100% recommend this site and will also would book again.
