Set amongst an array of trees and open spaces, Roundhill Campsite is the perfect New Forest getaway with an onsite lake and curious wild donkeys and ponies. Just five minutes to Brockenhurst and 15 to Lyndhurst, this site is well located and a great base for exploring all the New Forest has to offer. The site has 265 non electric grass pitches and two bell tents, with walks in every direction, there is plenty to explore.

Good campsite, clean facilities and friendly, helpful staff. Stayed for a night with a friend to getaway for the evening. Lovely staff welcomed us and got us checked in, went over the basics and gave us a little map of the areas we could pitch up and where the facilities were. Facilities were nice and clean, showers looked lovely but we didn't have a chance to use them. Nice and quiet at night, though it wasn't busy site when we got there. Looking forward to visiting again for a few more nights in the future!

We had a lovely time, the site is lovely, very large which allows you to have some privacy. Horses, donkeys and ponies wandering around the site which was lovely to see. Really enjoyed our stay and will go back again.

Top ground, 100% recommended, we will be back. The most excellent experience, location, service, facilities. Cannot rate Roundhill high enough. Booking easy, information top notch. Communication prior to arrival brilliant. Check in brilliant, organised, informative, and staff so pleasant and accommodating. On a motorbike, we wanted woodland cover and away from too many campers. Space was abundant. Perfect pitch. Site disciplines and fellow camper and wildlife respect evident everywhere. A real joy to bring my 14 year old son on his first bike camp trip. He has lot of camping and hiking experience with his family, usually in the Jeep and more recently, his DofE activities, but bike camping, life in 2 panniers and a tent on a rack, we were set. Roundhill made it a perfect base to explore. Spacious clean well serviced. Beyond highly commended. Thank you - Karl.

We've just got home from 2 nights at Roundhill and miss it already - we walked 14 miles over 2 days just the 2 of us and the dog. We will definitely be coming back - lovely and peaceful we just loved everything about it.

Brilliant campsite for our first camping experience as a family. Good points: great new showers. Clean toilets. Very friendly staff. Bike hire. A little shop. Good location. The only bad point is that you can hear the road and two frequent trains.

A very clean and tidy site. Toilets were extremely clean. My only negative, I presumed the postcode was the address, but it's not, so we ended up doing about a 30 min detour. I have no faults with the place at all and would definitely go again.

Camped here while on local beekeeping course. Testing out some new camping gear before trips to Scotland later. Showers and toilets super clean and were of the luxury event loos type. Loved the horses, cows, foals and calves roaming though the site - does mean you have to concentrate on where you are putting your feet. Other campers were a mix of DoE teams, lots of vans and bike-packers. Shop has a few emergency basics - so make sure you bring everything!
Good overall experience

Watching the ponies, listening to the birds and not being bothered by anyone or anything. Pure bliss. A better experience than some 5 star hotels.

Staff are very friendly, loads of space, although it might be busier during summer holidays. Showers and cleanliness really good. Easy walk to Brockenhurst. My only negative point is that more dish washing stations are needed.
A place worth booking again

This was my first time camping in the UK. Roundhill Campground was not only very convenient but also very clean. It is a camping spot worth returning to again. However, when we were about to leave the campground the next day, a friend of mine planned to drive over to leave with us and to see the campground. Unfortunately, the staff said that the campground was very crowded on weekends and people who had not booked camping were not allowed to enter, so he was refused entry. I understand very well that this is a private campground, but I feel a little helpless about it.
Perfect and different!

Perfect site with plenty of facilities. Showers - some of the best campsite showers I've used and never a queue. Toilets great too, both lovely and clean. Plenty of room for everyone to choose a nice spot to camp. Nicely flat. Peaceful, other than the guy with the loud generator which shouldn't be allowed. You're camping, is there's a need? Really lovely, friendly staff. Welcome hut selling essentials, including lovely ice cream. Best bit - the donkeys and ponies wondering the site! So bizarre but lovely to see the babies wondering around amongst the tents and campervans! We're in their space, we're their guests, so need to have respect for them. But so beautiful to keep a distance and watch. Perfect walks in the forest with more ponies wondering wild. What a spot.
