Set along the popular NC500 driving route, Mountview Pod offers a relaxing adult only glamping getaway with panoramic sea and mountain views. The pod is fully kitted out with everything you might need including a double bed, bedding, WiFi, a kitchenette, heating, ensuite and a TV. Outside you will also have a private decking area with a BBQ, chiminea and a hot tub! There is even a shop and riverside restaurant within a 15 minute walk too.

About the site

Whether you're searching for a stop off on the NC500 or a relaxing escape to the Highlands, this peaceful glamping site could be just the spot. Enjoying views of Loch Inver and the surrounding mountains, it is ideal for sitting back, unwinding and taking in the sights. The pod can sleep up to two adults and comes furnished with a bedroom area at the back with a double bed, bedding, under bed storage and an electric fireplace. Your modern ensuite will also include everything you need for your stay with a flushing toilet, shower, hand basin, towels and toiletries (including shampoo, conditioner and soap). At the front of the pod, you will find a small kitchenette area. This includes a mini fridge, air fryer, cafetiere, stoneware, crockery and glassware. You will also have access to a freezer a 20m walk away. Other finishing touches to the pod include underfloor heating, WiFi, a hair dryer, a TV/DVD player, a Bose docking system, a first aid kit and a torch for those dark nights. For making the most of your glorious views there is a private decking area. There is an outside table and chairs for al fresco dining, a BBQ, a chimenea and even a jacuzzi hot tub! One small dog is also welcome to join you for your stay.

Mountview Pod is open all year round in 2025 and from 01/01 to 31/10 in 2026. Pitches from £126/night for 2 people.

This pod was absolutely incredible, we had such a lovely time, it was just so clean, and everything was such good quality in the pod. It's only a 5 minute walk away from a shop and looks beautifully over the loch. Lochinver has been our favourite spot on the north coast 500 of all the times we've done it and it holds a special place to us, to have found such a beautiful place to stay we feel incredibly lucky! The host was also incredibly accommodating on our behalf when we needed some amendments on the original booking as well, so understanding and accommodating. 10/10 from me.

Arrived to a warm pod and the hot tub was already preheated. Everything was clean, tidy and perfect. Honestly, I was sceptical about making the 450mile drive, but in the end it was absolutely worth it. A perfect, romantic weekend getaway for anyone looking for ideas. Thanks Again to Ben!
