About the site

Surrounded by moorland and farmland, this 3.5-acre site offers an idyllic base for days of exploring. Head to Stoke-on-Trent for a day of shopping or strap on your walking boots and venture out to the nearby Peak District National Park. Carefully located, each pitch is very well spaced and all offer fabulous views of the meandering Staffordshire Moorlands hills. The site offers a selection of fully serviced grass pitches, each suitable for a tent, trailer tent motorhome or campervan. The pitches each include a 10 amp electric hook-up, and a fresh drinking water tap. You will also be provided with your own complimentary fire pit, perfect for toasting marshmallows of an evening for that traditional camping experience. Firewood is available to purchase onsite or you are welcome to bring your own. There are also a selection of non electric grass pitches suitable for tents or campervans. The site also has two luxury glamping bell tents on offer, each sleeping up to five guests. Inside the tents are equipped with a double bed along with two or three single folding beds which can transform into seating. To keep you cosy on those cooler evenings you will also be provided with a heater, along with a foldable table and chairs, lighting and electric. Please note, beds are provided but you will need to bring your own bedding and any cooking equipment, dishes and pots that you may require. Outside of your bell tent, you will also have a fire pit and picnic bench to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining as you marvel at your surroundings. BBQs are also welcome onsite, so you're more than welcome to bring one with you! Friendly dogs are also welcome onsite too, with up to two allowed per pitch.

Springfields Countryside Caravan and Camping is open from 04/04 to 25/09 in 2025 and from 27/03 to 27/09 in 2026. Stay from £25/night for 2 people (2-night minimum).

Site facilities include men's and women's toilets, both with three toilets, two showers and two wash basins. There are benches and hooks in the shower cubicles for convenience.

There is also a campers kitchen which has a microwave, kettle, fridge and freezer as well as two sinks for washing up with both hot and cold taps. For the little ones, there is a small playground.

For picking up the essentials, there is a Co-op store just a 15 minute walk away or less than a five minute drive. Your nearest pub is the White Hart Inn in Tean where you will also find a Chinese takeaway and fish and chip shop.

This lovely quiet campsite was the perfect spot for a couple of nights away. The facilities were fantastic and perfectly clean. The shower was the best I've had at a campsite with hot water and a constant run of water instead of one of those buttons you need to keep pushing! I would highly recommend this campsite as a spot to stay and we will definitely be back again for a stay soon!

Very nice site. Well managed. Nice pitch sizes. You can pick herbs from the herbs garden for your cooking. Well equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave and toaster. Pizza van on Fridays which was very popular. Nice views across the valley. We used as a base for Alton Towers 15-20 min drive. There are campsites closer, but probably not as nice. The site wardens are always on site and responded to any concerns immediately. Will definitely be using the campsite again.

Check-in is available from 1pm until 8pm for camping and touring and from 3pm until 8pm for glamping. Please advise the site if you are delayed. Departure is due before 11am on your last day.

Yes! Friendly dogs are welcome, with up to two allowed per pitch. However, dogs must be kept on leads at all times. Please note the site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Our campsite is our passion and we absolutely love to be here as do our guest campers. The site is very popular, with many returning guests. It has been in operation since before 2000 and has always been a great place for touring caravans, campervans and tent campers. The views are stunning and the wildlife is a joy to see and watch.

We have carefully located each pitch, so everyone is well spaced and can enjoy our fabulous views of the meandering Staffordshire Moorlands hills. We aim to provide a relaxing stay for all, including your pooch, and hope we get to meet you soon,

Alton Towers Theme Park is just a 15 minute drive from the site, great for adrenaline junkies. Take a ride on the large rollercoasters, get spooked in the dungeons or splash around in the waterpark!

There are also many other local attractions such as Trentham Gardens Visitor Centre and the Trentham Monkey Forest (20 minutes) - the perfect places to explore the natural world.

Two working steam railways will take you through beautiful scenery nearby, The Foxfield Railway (10 minutes) and the Churnet Valley Railway (15 minutes) - both run throughout the year. Take a ride through the glorious Staffordshire countryside in style.

There are countryside walks and cycle routes which will take you on an unmissable tour of the area. Within a 20 minute drive you can be in the world fabulous Peak District with charming towns such as Buxton Spa town and Matlock, famous for Abraham Heights Leisure Park and the Blue John Mines.
