About the site
Ideally situated between Newmarket and the historic Bury St Edmunds, kick back at this friendly camping and glamping site within easy reach of Suffolk and Norfolk. It's only a ten minute walk from two pub restaurants in Barrow village and has its own cafe bar open during the peak season between May and September. There's a selection of grass and hardstanding pitches, most including 10 amp electric and others serviced with water too. Extra large pitches cater to large tents too, and the site also has space for solo travellers/bikers. There is a spacious pitch field with extra room to pitch your own way together with 10 amp electric and water at the pitch. Large vehicles can be accommodated but be aware that there is a slope to enter the site. The owners are more than happy to help you onto and off of the pitch and an alternative entrance is available on request. Or you can rest up in a luxury pod cabin. Sleeping up to five, this converted container glamping option is equipped with heating, air-con, TV, fridge and microwave. You will share the usual campsite facilities and bring your own bedding. One well behaved dog is welcome. Or, if you fancy trying something different, you can even stay in the Sunflower Sally Glamping Bus which sleeps up to six people with a king-sized bed, two singles and two sofa beds. Inside is a TV, fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster and even an air fryer! Please bring your own bedding. Outside is a picnic bench. Up to three dogs are welcome per pitch or in the glamping pod cabin, however, they are not allowed on the non electric grass backpacker pitches, sorry.
Electric grass pitches are open from January, all other pitches and accommodation are open from April.
