Cotswolds Camping at Holycombe has been welcoming guests for over a decade. This quiet campsite is made up of 'wild' pitches - so camp where you like! You can have the sunset, sunrise, a spot by the water or a secluded space with a campfire. You'll also have heated glamping which is ideal year round, such as a stylish 1960s Airstream, yurts, a gypsy caravan and cabin. Catering only to older children and adults, the site has a true retreat feel.

About the site
Relax and soak up this special place, set on tranquil land that dates back through time and the sounds of nature. At night the stargazing is something to behold, away from urban light pollution, and the site's stone circle has long been believed to create a special energy. Cotswolds Camping is set in the grounds of Holycombe Holistic Retreat Centre, which is the setting for weekend residential retreats, weekday classes and holistic therapies in the wilds of nature. It's also sited on the ancient site of a Norman castle - a Scheduled Ancient Monument, with a water-filled moat to boot. The site's ethos is to provide a peaceful, rustic, outdoor experience surrounded by nature and steeped in history. A big part of that is keeping the quiet atmosphere for guests. Aside from that it's relaxed, unallocated pitches - and you don't need to decide where until you get there. Just book a pitch and choose when you arrive. Campervans must be under 7m long to stay here. If you love a fire while camping, there are fire baskets for hire and fire wood for purchase on site. For those looking to get glam, why not try one of the beautifully furnished yurts (one with ensuite!), a 1960s Airstream, or an authentic gypsy caravan. All these glamping units come with a wood burning stove and heating, so they're toasty all through the winter months. The Airstream has been totally refurbished and has everything you need for a romantic getaway, a relaxing weekend with friends or just some time alone. Bell tents are a spring and summer only option, furnished with rugs, soft furnishings and a double futon with memory foam mattress. They also have a wood burner to keep you cosy. Or perhaps you'd prefer the Little Dutch glamping cabin, fully equipped with a double bed, a kitchenette including gas cooker, fridge and all cooking utensils and crockery. Unwind on your own patio with a table and chairs, complete with a fire pit. You can watch the sunset, or get ready for the sunrise - you could be by the moat, watching the wildlife or pick a more private spot. The choice is yours. Although older families are welcome, sorry, children under 12 are not allowed on site.
Glamping options such as the gypsy caravan and yurt are open year round. Camping is available from 15th February and Bell tents are available from 16th May. Pitches from £28/night for 2 people.
