Very peaceful and quiet campsite. Very friendly and helpful wardens and owner. Perfect shower and toilet facilities. Flexible attitude to moving our motorhome to another spot. Would definitely come again to this site. Easy walking distance to Lacock and many nice villages and cities around to drive to.

The site is very well located for walking in to Lacock which is a lovely village with some excellent pubs. The facilities were very clean and not too busy considering how many pitches were occupied. The site could seem claustrophobic but has been really well laid out to give maximum privacy with mature trees and hedges all over. The pitch had loads of room for our little camper. Enjoyed our stay.

Great pitch and facilities. We stayed in pitch 15 which was ideal for us camping with dogs as it was semi sheltered with hedging, and the car blocked the view of people walking to the glamping field and dog walking field. The dog walking field is an excellent facility to have and was ideally placed, clean and quite too. Facilities were all brand new and cleaned daily. The campsite is a short walk into Lacock and the pubs were both chilled and had great food too. An overall great campsite and location for a weekend away.

First time at this lovely site and will be back. We only booked for a couple of nights to catch up with family but next year, we will bring our bigger tent and stay for longer. We requested adjoining pitches which was not a problem. The pitches are large and spacious, many have trees for shade, which we were glad of in the heatwave. We were situated near the old showers which are no longer in use, but toilets were very clean and there were separate sink cubicles which is always a plus for me, being able to wash and clean teeth in private! The new shower blocks are lovely and kept very clean but accessible by steps. I don't know if there are any with disabled access. We never met the owners. It all seems to be done on trust which is quite nice. A nice easy walk into Lacock with several pubs to eat at, but you do have to cross a very busy road. Or drive out to the Rising Sun for excellent food and a beautiful beer garden with fabulous views. Would definitely recommend this peaceful, well-kept site. We didn't have children but there is a lovely play area which looks very new.

Quite basic. No kitchen.
Site's response
We're disappointed to see your low score, especially as we usually receive fantastic feedback from our guests. As a campsite, we aim to provide a peaceful and back-to-basics experience, and we don't advertise having a kitchen facility. We always encourage guests to check our listing details to ensure the setup suits their needs. Thank you for your comments.

Wow - what a campsite. Beautiful grounds, level pitches, spotlessly clean facilities, super quiet even with most pitches being used. Beautiful 10 minute stroll into the stunning village of Lacock. This is the best site we have stayed in and would highly recommend it without hesitation.

A very nice campsite in a very beautiful setting. Lacock is definitely worth a visit and can be reached quickly on foot from the campsite. Check-in was also easy; we received our pitch number via email and didn't have to go to reception. Very convenient!

A nice walk into town, although the main road is a bit hairy! Could do with a pedestrian crossing. Good bus service into Chippenham. Very clean and well maintained site.

We recently stayed at Piccadilly for 4 nights; 2 small children and our dog. Rachel phoned us the day after we booked and we talked about the best pitch for us as I think they were pretty quiet. We had a fantastic pitch and loved the site. Rachel was very helpful when we had some trouble with our buggy having flat tyres, so needed to do an amazon order and she was very happy for us to have it delivered to the house. We were near to the old facility block and that was perfect for us for everything apart from showers. The family shower room was good when we needed it. Only thing of note, that at the time we went, there was no baby change table in any of the facilities, so no where to put baby. I mentioned this and was well received as feedback. Very close to Lacock and some great walks. Thanks so much!

Fantastic site! Facilities very modern & clean. Motorhome pitch lovely - site split into small hedged areas. Rachel very helpful & flexible in arranging pitch change (to get more sun!). Very quiet & 10 mins walk to Lacock village centre (pubs, small general stores, etc).

Just had a lovely week at Picadilly Camp Site in Lacock. The weather was glorious, which makes all the difference when camping, but even if we'd had normal spring weather, this campsite would have delivered. The facilities are brand new this year, shower and toilet block s are immaculate. Showers hot, toilets clean and lovely hand washing products. Even in the older block there's separate washing cubicles you can use as the showers there are now out of use because of the new ones. There's also two new machines, washing and tumble, in the cabin where there's also three big washing up sinks. Hot water in those is plentiful. So many places to visit locally, especially if you're a NT member In the wooden reception cabin there are loads of leaflets of different places to visit. We will probably go back later in the season to explore some other places, a week wasn't long enough. The warden and his wife and Rachel the owner are very approachable and helpful. The warden came over for a chat one evening and before we left wishing us safe journey. Another thing is lots of supermarkets about ten/fifteen mins away. We visited the Aldi in Melksham and stocked up for the week. We didn't eat out as it was BBQ weather, last week of April, amazing. So we made the most of the lovely evenings, lighting a fire as well outside. A brilliant stay, Lacock village itself is just gorgeous.
