About the site
Set on a hill overlooking the sea and countryside, with easy access to all that North Cornwall has to offer, this is a beautiful spot for couples, families and anyone looking to get away.
Home to two furnished and heated shepherd's huts, Penkenna and Cambeak, named after the nearby cliffs.
Cambeak sleeps two with a raised double bed, boasting views through the French doors and a cosy feel, complete with two comfortable velvet chairs and a Sky Glass TV.
Penkenna is ideal for families, accommodating four guests with a double bed and bunk beds above for children. When not exploring the outdoors, there is also a Sky Glass TV to keep you occupied.
Each shepherd's hut is a home away from home, beautifully furnished with an ensuite and a well-equipped kitchen including all the essential appliances and utensils to cook up a lovely meal. Enjoy a touch of alfresco dining as each hut has a private decking area with a dining set, fire pit, BBQ and of course a hot tub!
There's something for everyone at the farm with 18 acres to explore and a host of farm animals. The alpacas always welcome some chopped apples.
After your days of exploring, head back to your camp to enjoy the most dreamy sunsets. At night, look up at the sky for optimal stargazing.

Pencuke Farm is open from 01/01 to 19/12 in 2025 and from 01/01 to 02/09 in 2026.
The centrally heated Guest Barn is located a short walk from the campsite, with two fully private shower rooms with their own sink and WC. There are two indoor sinks for washing dishes, a pay per use laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a constant supply of hot water as the site has an eco friendly wood pellet biomass boiler.
Subject to fair usage, free WiFi is available in the guest barn and there are outside access points. There is a games room with pool table, table football and TV with DVD player. There is a small honesty shop, stocked with essentials outside, there is a BBQ terrace along with two communal fire pits. There are two EV chargers onsite too.
A note from the site themselves...
You can enjoy a warm welcome from our seven cheeky Alpacas. From biggest to smallest, we have Maisie, Kate, Nell and Pippa, Lily, Coco and Luna. You will also get to see our lovely friendly flock of pedigree Zwartble sheep. Originally from the Netherlands, they are known for being friendly so be sure to say hello!
We usually have between 25 and 50 of this beautiful breed on the farm, and lambing season is around April. You may also spot a few of our chickens, who also produce lots of delicious eggs, with the alpacas nearby to keep a watch over them. We all hope to welcome you soon, Ross

What time is check-in/out at Pencuke Farm?
Check-in is between 3pm and 10pm, if you are delayed please let the site know. Check out is due before 10am on your last day.
Is Pencuke Farm dog friendly?
Of course! The site offers dog friendly glamping, with up to two dogs welcome in each of the shepherd's hut. Please ensure that they are kept on the lead whilst onsite and well-supervised. Dogs must be fully house trained and have up to date flea treatments and vaccines. There is an additional fee for bringing dogs.
Are BBQs/campfires allowed at Pencuke Farm?
Yes, each shepherd's hut has a fire pit and a BBQ outside. Or, you're welcome to bring your own BBQ or fire pit, provided they are kept raised off the grass. Open campfires are not permitted.
How far from the beach is Pencuke Farm?
You'll be just a short distance to some of Cornwall's finest beaches, including Crackington Haven just a ten minute drive away and Bude's seafront within 20 minutes, complete with surf schools, skatepark and more.

There isn't parking available beside your unit, but there is a designated car park where you can leave your vehicle just a short walk from the shepherd's huts.

Yes, all bed linen, bedding, and towels are provided and are professionally cleaned. You just need to bring your own beach towels!

Yes, luxury hand soap, body wash, and shampoo are provided.
Is Pencuke Farm family friendly?
Yes, this site is very family friendly with a games barn and onsite alpacas to meet! The top bunks are only suitable for children, please be aware that the bunks are not recommended for children under the age of 6. Plus, a travel cot and high chair are available upon request. Please note, that if only two guests are staying, the bunk beds will not be made up, unless specifically requested in advance.
Things to do on site and in the Bude area
There are very low levels of light pollution on-site, so it's a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy a bit of stargazing and enjoy amazing sunsets as the site faces west and overlooks the coast.
You are also welcome to explore the 18 acres of farmland and visit the flock of alpacas, Zwartbles sheep, chickens and pigs.
You're never short of something brilliant to do in this part of Cornwall.
