Shepherd's huts exterior

Longthorns Farm offers the perfect place for camping or glamping in the heart of Dorset and close to the famous Jurassic Coast. Spacious pitches offer a relaxed atmosphere with campfires, star gazing and much needed quiet time - with the odd tank rumbling by or morning call from the gibbons next door at Monkey World. The site is on a small working alpaca and cattle farm and has plenty of woodland walks.

Twin Axle Caravan - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2023

This was our 2nd time staying here and we will definitely return again. The campsite is run by a lovely family who keep the site extremely clean. On site, there's a small shop, bar, woodland area, alpaca's and the added bonus of a large field to run your dog off their lead. Food can also be ordered for an evening meal. The campsite location is perfect if you like to explore and enjoy days out. There is so much to do all within minutes from the campsite. Monkey World, The Tank Museum, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove & Castle, Kimmeridge, Corfe Castle and Swanage are just a few to name. We are happy to say we have had another fab stay here.

Everything you could wish for and a whole heap more!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2023

Our family chose to stay at Longthorns and we really couldn't have wished for a better stay. The whole site was set out really well, with different areas for different campers. All of the areas are very spacious, with lots of room for your pitch plus a large area in the middle for people to play in. The owners were absolutely amazing and really made our stay. There really wasn't enough that they could do to make our stay a really special one. We were allocated the Alpaca Field, which was very close to the facilities, Alpacas and Rocky the Shetland pony! At Longthorns, there is an on-site shop, with items for those camping emergencies, local food (the venison burgers are sublime and local ice-creams delicious) and general food items, all at a very reasonable price. The toilets and showers were clean and there is also a great little 'washing up area' for campers to use. During peak periods; Longthorns have freshly cooked take-out food that you can book on the day, plus an on-site Parlour. You can also book Alpaca meet and greets and Alpaca walks! There is also a really nice and peaceful Woodland Walk and a large Dog field for your 4-legged friends to run around in. Monkey World is a safe and family-friendly 5 minute walk away, well worth a visit while you are based at Longthorns Farm. We also took a 15-20 minute drive to the coast to see the amazing Durdle Door. So much on the doorstep, and we could have stayed another week if we had more time off work.

Perfect camping
