Shepherd's hut
Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's Hut (Dog Friendly) May 2023 Bed comfortable, kettle, toaster and fridge but no other equipment in the hut so need most of the camping equipment,. Shepherd's hut and facilities were clean. Showers at busy times could be cold and washing up water was never very warm.
Good site for children and adopts quiet after 10 which works!

I'm sorry you had an issue with the water temperature, we will look into that, thank you for letting us know. There is a 2nd shower and toilet block near reception which all are welcome to use.
Two night stay that was ok
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 We came for two nights in our campervan. Had a bit of difficulty getting in using the app and then a lady appeared and told us to just drive in and the gate would open. She seemed to be in a rush so our initial reaction to the welcome wasn't great to be fair. However the site itself more than made up for it - the pitches are massive we could have fit two big tents in there they were so large.
The site is clean and the facilities are adequate. On the first day we didn't realise that there was a path at the back of the site that took us into Alderholt so we went on a rather treacherous hike along quite busy country lanes on foot. It would have been a better experience if we were asked if this was our first time and given information or even a leaflet about access.
That said, the standard of the site was very good they even have a freezer you can use. Great for children as there is plenty of safe areas and a little area with swings and slides etc.
Overall I thought that the site offers really good value for money. I would overall recommend this site.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We have a numberplate recognition barrier to gain access to the site so the barrier is triggered as you approach. In front of reception we have an information room with places to visit and maps for local walks. The team work hard to keep the site clean and tidy and I have passed your compliments on to them. VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Hardstanding Pitches May 2023 Clean, friendly campsite with a nice walk straight from the site. Had a nice few days away and everything about the site was very good.

Great site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 Spotless, welcoming, nicely spread out pitches in a lovely location. A wonderful, clean, well kept site, one of the nicest in and around the New Forest. Been before and will definitely use again.

Single Axle Caravan - Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2023 Lovely site with a mixture of hedged and open pitches, many with electric and water, or fully serviced. Small shop. Great information room with lots of leaflets and maps for things to do.
Woodland dog walk with access to woodland and paths to the village. Friendly and helpful staff. Toilet and shower were always clean and tidy. Laundry room.

Little gem
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 We loved this park! First time visiting but won't be the last. It was quiet and very clean. All members of staff were very helpful. The gates open via ANPR which was good as we realised it would be secure.

Camping week
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 We just enjoyed a lovely week at Hill Cottage Farm. The site was lovely, secure, clean and tidy.
Staff were very helpful, the toilets and shower block were spotless and regularly cleaned. We also liked the fact that recycling was also available. The site has a nice playground for our 3-year-old and ample-sized pitches. We also tried the Thai kitchen takeaway located on-site, which is highly recommended too.
Including the sunshine we had all week, we thoroughly enjoyed our camping week here.
