Absolutely amazing
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 I've stayed on many a campsite over my years of camping but I have never stayed anywhere that was as friendly as this site.
They couldn't do enough to help throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Simple sites and facilities but were very clean and well maintained. I would absolutely come back.

Beautiful setting for a peaceful break away
Trailer Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 A perfect little campsite situated in beautiful countryside.
Chris, the owner, is one of a kind, nothing is too much, always there to lend a hand and a friendly chat. He is a book of knowledge and knows the area very well. Advised us on the best places to take the kids crabbing, didn't disappoint, very happy children with all their crabs, shrimps and fish.
Chris makes Hardyes the great place it is, he literally doesn't stop. This is our second visit here and both times has been fantastic. If you are happy with the sound of a few animals, tranquil surroundings and an extremely hospitable campsite owner, this is the place for you.
Weymouth is very close, a great seaside location with beautiful golden sand. Great for kids of all ages. West bay is another harbour seaside location, fantastic for crabbing and lots for all the family to do. A very relaxed part of the country and a beautiful place to visit.
We will be back next year!
Amazing, defo recommend
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2025 My husband and I stayed for the weekend, the campsite was easy to find and the field area was perfect for camping in a tent. They also had electric pitches.
The owner Chris (I think his name was, sorry if I got your name wrong 🙈) he was friendly and chatty and told us about the campsite, showed us where the showers and toilets were and talked about some of the amazing attractions around the area.
The toilets, shower and kitchen area was very clean. They are in one area which made things easier. They also do freshly made the next morning scones and pastries at a reasonable price 😍 I'd defo recommend trying them, especially the fruit scones 😋
The scenery was just amazing and everyone on the campsite were so friendly. We definitely recommend going there. My husband and I will definitely be coming back next year 😁
Reasonably priced per night, friendly owner, he even brought a tub of sweets round for the kids and adults and had a chat daily to everyone on camp. I cannot wait until we return next year 😁 Thank you 😊

Small site with showers and toilets, fresh baked goods daily cooked by Chris wife. Absolute gem of a campsite, immaculate, tidy and quiet. Will definitely be back.

Chris and his Wife are excellent hosts who aim to please. Always keeping the site clean and tidy. The breakfast they offer is also top quality. and excellent value.

Trailer Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2025 We really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely little campsite, with basic and well maintained facilities. Mr Roberts greeted us on arrival and made us feel very welcome.
Lovely views over the fields all around and some fantastic walks along the Frome and through some beautiful little villages.
We didn't have time to explore everything, so will be back soon. Thanks again!

Brilliant campsite
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 It was our first camping trip with the family, having booked a pitch with an electric hook-up. Chris was very welcoming and helpful. He helped us get settled in and shared with us some really helpful local information. Although we had some high wind gusts during our time at the site, the location is nevertheless well laid out.
We had a lovely time over there and we would like to go back at some time in the future. We would highly recommend Hardyes Countryside Camping to anyone looking to camp in the Dorchester and Dorset area.
