VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

We had a lovely two night stay at Broadway Farm, testing our van's capabilities without hook-up for the first time. This was the perfect site for that. Andrew greeted us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. He was very welcoming and obviously enjoying his successful new venture; it was hard to believe it was only the third week since the site had opened, as it was so well-organised. An added bonus was free use of fire pits and logs, plus an abundance of fruit trees to pluck from. There are plenty of pitches to choose from, which are more than generous - even if you have direct neighbours you still have more than enough privacy. The toilets and showers are small and rustic, but very clean with plenty of hot water. There is a friendly pub 10 minutes' walk away, but longer if you follow the river path as we found out! But, the longer walk is well worth it, with beautiful views. Thank you Andrew for your warm welcome and interaction, we wish you and your family continued success.

Ace site, so quiet and peaceful. Grapes, plums and apples and the odd 3million blackberries. Such a lovely area, we are local to minsterworth but the kids wanted to stay away with their cousins. They were entertained by running around the field and by the river. 100% come back again

What more could you ask for really? The site is a long orchard with mown pitches separated by fruit trees and longer grass. We picked our own pitch and the the owner was really friendly and helpful. Perfect for families and an easy walk down on to the path along the river.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Orchard smells amazing and is cool to be surrounded by fruit. The river Severn is 3 mins away and there are fields of sheep and plums. Beautiful. The river bank is so cool and soft and fun for the dog. Great place easy to get to and close to Forest of Dean.

Fabulous site

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

I camped as an older solo female, not something I've done before. I wanted to feel safe and to be able to access public transport. Both of these aims were ably met. Broadway is a small site with only ten pitches for groups or individual campers. The composting toilet was always clean, fire pits and dry wood were provided, and there were shower, toilets , clothes washing facilities in the main block . I charged my phone too, when the power bank I brought failed me. The owner is a farmer and it's a working farm. The tents are in an apple orchard. The River Severn is less than five minutes' walk away, and some people swam from the 'beach' nearby (the current is strong and the beach muddy, but it's the Severn). Buses go by, to and from Gloucester and the Forest of Dean, even on a Sunday, at least every hour, so it's possible to be independent if you're not a car user. There are some pretty towns and riverside cafes nearby, including the famous Silver Fox café outside Newnham on Severn. There is also a pub, the Severn Bore, within walking distance of the site. The main A48 road can be heard from the site, which is a drawback, but it's hard to find sites in England where you can't hear a road. The skies are dark and the site itself is quiet. I saw campers of all ages there, and enjoyed some peaceful riverside walks. I'll be back.

Andrew welcomed us personally. Camping pitched on an orchard farm setting. So rough camping in a lovely quiet location, on the banks of the river Severn and next to the Severn trail. Highly recommend.

Lovely site with huge pitches and a 'wild camp' feel. Bbqs and firepits available to borrow and fire wood which you could help yourself to. Laid back, friendly owners who were responsive to emails. Conveniently located composting toilet mid way through the site which was fab and meant no need to venture back to the main toilets at the entrance (except for shower/washing up). Lovely river walks directly from the site. Some care is needed turning into/out of the main road.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

We booked a last-minute camping trip for the weekend and luckily found space at Broadway Farm Camping. We loved the campsite. Andrew and Debra were really welcoming and run a lovely site. I think we were there on their first - or one of their first - weekends open, but it operated so smoothly that I wouldn't have been able to tell if we hadn't chatted to Andrew about it! The pitches are spacious enough that it feels like you're in your own secluded campsite even when other people have set up. The site is conveniently located with easy access to the road (and a fairly short drive to the Forest of Dean) but set back enough that it still feels like you're out in nature. The bathroom facilities were clean and I appreciated the extra touches like the basket of menstrual hygiene products in one of the toilets and dish-washing supplies. There was also a fridge which we found very useful. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again and look forward to it. Bonus points for the delicious plums that grow on the farm, and the river walk at the end of the property that leads to the pub!
