Appuldurcombe Gardens Holiday Park is a family run holiday park set in the Stenbury Downs, an AONB on the Isle of Wight. The site offers a mixture of grass, hardstanding and fully serviced pitches with electric hook up set amongst 14 acres of picturesque countryside, complete with a heated outdoor pool and a stylish bar and café. Expect an abundance of wildlife, sunny beach days at Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor and plenty of coastal walks.
About the site
Family run and family friendly, this 14 acre holiday park boasts excellent facilities and easy access to some of the island's most beautiful beaches. Set on the outskirts of Wroxall village, the site was originally part of the grounds of the historic Appuldurcombe House, accounting for its old world charm and pristine lawns. Split across three sections, the site offers grass tent pitches, hardstanding touring pitches and a handful of fully serviced hardstanding pitches, all with 10 amps electric hook-up and picturesque upland views of the Stenbury Downs. There are also a large number of static caravans in a beautiful walled orchard, as well as two well-furnished lodges. With facilities including an outdoor heated swimming pool, a miniature crazy gold course and a bar and café, it's a great option for families and friends. It's also a perfect base for lazy days at the beach, with the white sands of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor all less than ten minutes away. If you're a keen cyclist or hiker, make sure to take advantage of the many footpaths and cycleways starting within minutes of the site. Excellent public transport links are only 150 yards from the site, allowing the designated driver to take a well deserved break for the rest of the holiday. Four-legged friends are welcome but please check with the hosts before booking. No campfires, sorry!
