Fantastic site

From time of arrival until we left, it was obvious that the owners have a real passion for their site. First class facilities and well laid out pitches. Will book again. Fantastic site.

Convenient, quiet and a good overnighter

A lovely little site with genuinely friendly and welcoming staff. My only criticism would be the cleanliness of the toilet blocks, which unfortunately wasn’t up to standard during our stay. They didn’t appear to have been cleaned for at least a day. I also don’t feel that charging 20p for a shower is reasonable nowadays. We arrived around dinner time and left the following morning, so we didn’t have the opportunity to get cash—let alone the correct coin. It would be far more convenient to include a small amount, say £1, in the pitch fee and make the showers free to use. There can also be a bit of a wait for facilities in the first block, as it only has one shower and one toilet. If these are occupied, you may need to wait. However, the upper facilities block does offer more showers and toilets, and guests are able to use those as well.

Lovely site great location

Lovely site, very clean with great toilet/shower block, great views, and perfect location. Bus stop outside site takes you to Kendal or Kirkby Lonsdale. Lovely pub/restaurant across the road. Nice canal walks from the site. Only one negative- at times, people were allowing their dogs to run free off leads, also a couple of times, owners taking their dogs into the toilet block with them.

Little Acre Holiday Park

What a fabulous site. Spotless and the facilities were very clean. Perfect hosts and perfect location with plenty of space once all set up. Pub/hotel over the road with excellent menu and food portions! Would highly recommend this lovely site.

Fantastic adult-only campsite

Well what a hidden gem this campsite is. Absolutely 10 out of 10, well done to Paul and his wife for their amazing work, what a pleasure to meet you both. Brilliant stay, friendly, kind and attentive hosts, nothing is too much. Great walks, great views and fantastic pub/hotel across the road. Loved it so much we rebooked before we left. Thanks for a great weekend!

What a perfect site!

Wow, what a great site. We are new to caravanning so this was our first experience. Firstly, great location, just off the motorway so perfect for first timers as you aren't driving on loads of crazy winding roads, as it's just off the motorway. Site owner was lovely and friendly, site itself was great. Hard pitch with electric and own water. I brought my 4 dogs. Amazing and adults only so lovely and quiet. Everyone was super respectful and friendly. The canal which is just opposite the site which is great for a tranquil dog walk. There is also a pub over the road which looked lovely but we didn't try it. Great location for the lakes itself as near to Kirby Lonsdale, Keswick, Kendal etc. Also, as newbies, we really appreciated the facilities. There was a laundry room which we didn't use as only stayed 2 nights and two toilet blocks. The one we used had showers etc and they were absolutely immaculate. Like a hotel shower room, really really lovely facilities. Can't express how clean they were. They were also kept lovely and warm which was great when I needed the bathroom early hours! Take 20ps for the shower as it's 20p for 3 minutes but there is shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. All in all, a perfect stay, in a beautiful peaceful location. We will 100% be back again :)

Lovely little site

We've stayed a few times and we love it. WiFi is excellent, toilets and showers are some of the best we've seen and the wardens are so lovely :)

A must visit location

Very welcoming host. Excellent showers and toilets, and decent sized pitches. Pub/restaurant 2 minutes walk.

Fantastic little site, rebooked before we left!

What an absolutely fantastic little site! Straight across the road from a lovely restaurant which is a bonus. The bathroom facilities were the best we've ever seen and Paul (the owner) was on site loads. He was so friendly, so helpful we will definitely be back…in fact we booked a trip for a few weeks time before we left ha 🤣.

Excellent clean site

Excellent site, helpful and friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Probably the best shower and toilet facilities of any campsite we've stayed on. Comparable to a boutique hotel. This is the standard other sites should follow.

Five star - amazing

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Fantastic Stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a brilliant stay at Little Acre Holiday Park! From the moment we arrived, the host was so friendly and welcoming. You really feel at home straight away. The toilets and showers were honestly the cleanest and best equipped we've ever come across at a campsite. It's 20p for 3 minutes, but they're so well looked after that we didn't mind paying at all. The pitches are large, spacious, and beautifully maintained. Another huge bonus is that the pub is just a 2-minute walk away! We ate there both nights and the food was absolutely out of this world. I honestly can't recommend Little Acre enough. Everything about our stay was perfect, and we will 100% be back!

Fantastic site

I can hand on heart say that this is one of the best campsites we have ever used. The site is pristine, with grass that could have come from a football ground. Pitches are well spaced and ours was level, so no need for chocks. Paul, the friendly owner came round to welcome us and point out everything we needed to know about the site and walks etc. The facilities are way better than I have had in many hotels! Lovely warm shower/toilet block which has been immaculately decorated. Soap, shampoo etc. is provided - again, making it feel like you are in a hotel and not a campsite. Showers are in individual large wet rooms and are run via a 20p slot machine for 3 minutes. Great water pressure (no dribbling shower heads here!) and are lovely and warm. N.B I know many people don't have coins, but you can get them from the office when you check in. Laundry and washing up facilities are of the same quality as above, with all you need on hand. Would recommend the Crooklands Hotel (dog friendly in Bar) for food or a drink as is only about 5 minute walk at most. Lovely atmosphere, huge portions (so beware!) and great service. You can also walk down the canal path a few miles to Holme where there is another dog-friendly pub, The Smithy Inn. Can't say enough about this campsite. I think we are spoiled for all to come!

Second stay

Second stay here, again only for one night on our road trip, but a great site. Facilities were great, toilet and showers were spotless. A peaceful site. Only problem we had was that we forgot to book a meal in the local hotel and it was the weekend so fully booked.

Outstanding

Such a nice quiet site with a fantastic shower and toilet block. Our host was very welcoming and showed us to our pitches, which he had chosen specifically for my roof top tent. Definitely be back soon.

Lovely campsite

We stayed at Little Acres for one night on our way back from Scotland. The site is ideally situated, just off the M6. The site is beautifully kept and spotlessly clean. There is a lovely walk along the canal and a wonderful pub just over the road which served delicious food and not too expensive. We will definitely be back to explore this area further. I can honestly say this is one of the best campsites we have been to. The owners were very friendly and helpful so thank you for a perfect end to our holiday.

Welcomed by friendly owner who showed us around the site. Stunning toilet and shower blocks. Spotlessly clean. Lovely quiet spot with countryside views and pitch was level and well kept. Pub and Hotel just across the road which is so lovely. Can't fault this site or the owners. 10/10 all round.

Fantastic facilities

Always a pleasure staying here. Fantastic, spotless facilities, great accommodating warden. Unfortunately had to cut my break short because of a poorly dog but simply cannot fault this site one bit.
