Green Acres Caravan Park is a welcoming adult-only site, set in beautiful Cumbrian countryside, that's perfect for a relaxing getaway from the 9 to 5. Escape to this base, less than a half hour from the Lake District. Hardstanding caravan pitches are available, all with electric hookup, as well as fully serviced pitches. This site is dog friendly with an excellent dog walk and super smart facilities.

About Green Acres Caravan Park
Relax and unwind at this adult-only caravan park and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, just under a half hour from the stunning Lake District. Onsite, you'll find 49 hardstanding caravan pitches all with electric hook-up. There are also fully serviced pitches which include a water tap and grey water drainage. A few double hardstandings are also available. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Open from 18 March to 31 October
A modern and luxurious facilities block, with underfloor heating throughout, six top notch wet rooms (including disabled facilities), male and female toilets and an indoor washing up area.
There is a laundry room near reception with coin operated washing machine and dryer. Free WiFi is available in the cabin onsite with a selection of books and DVDs to browse and there is also bike hire and car/caravan wash (tokens are available from reception).

The site was booked for us as a gift by a family member. OMG what a site - clean, tidy. There were some seasonal pitches but no personal plants, large gas bottles or awnings with settees in. Facilities were your own - en-suite and very clean. Not far from the M6 but you couldn't hear it. A great stopover if you're going long distance. Bit pricey for us

Just got back and all I can say is wow, what a site, it's amazing very clean and tidy, facilities are more like the Ritz hotel - large bathroom with showers that has 2 shower heads and pressure knob, the dog walk is a great idea as is the loan of magazines books and DVDs, all in a log cabin again very clean with seating area. The owners should be very proud, it's a credit to them both. Also I found sending a text to order food a great idea, the whole experience was a pleasure and we will be recommending this site to friends and family. We had a wonderful stay, very peaceful.

Take your pooch for a dog walk close to camp or why not head out and explore the surrounding scenery!
The park is also a great base for exploring the Lake District and Scottish Borders. Those with a keen interest in history aren't far from Carlisle's town centre boasting an impressive medieval castle where Mary Queen of Scots was once imprisoned. You're also close to Hadrian's Wall stretching through the village.
