About the site

Situated on the edge of the Lake District, the pods are an idyllic base to soak up the Cumbrian countryside that's on your doorstep. Set on a hillside with panoramic open views towards the North Lakes fells, two of the pods onsite are fully equipped with double bed, single bunk (suitable for children up to ten years of age) and sofa bed - perfect for a romantic escape or family holiday. A third pod sleeps four people with a double bed and a double sofa bed and it's slightly more spacious than the other two pods. The living area features dining table, chairs and TV, plus the fully fitted kitchen includes sink, two-ring induction hob, oven with grill, fridge/freezer and microwave - everything you need for cooking up a culinary treat! There's a spacious shower room, plus the outdoor decking area makes the most of the views towards the fells along with plenty of room for alfresco dining. Guests also benefit from underfloor heating and full insulation. A steel fire pit with a swing arm to use as a grill is provided with each pod as well as parking. Sorry, no pets.

Glamping Pod - Ensuite Glamping Pods with Bunk BedsAug 2025

Came across Cragg Farm Camping Pods whilst looking for accomodation close to the Lakes. Saw the photo of the 3 Pods and did some research of the local area on Google Maps, the remote aspect and the fact they’re located on a working farm appealed. Booking process was so simple, we booked 2 of the bunk bed Pods as there were 9 in our family group. Contacted Catherine by email in the days leading up to our dates, answered promptly with great detail. Arrived at the Pods and loved the set up, nicely perched on a hillside with fantastic views of the Lake District hills. Safe and secure with fencing all around, ideal for our kids. Pods were immaculate with lovely bedding supplied, we were all really impressed. Catherine took time to come up and introduce herself, such a lovely individual who is rightfully proud of the Pods/set up. We will definitely be returning at a future date and have already recommended Cragg Farm Camping Pods to friends and family. Thank you Catherine for a wonderful break experience.

Stunning location, set on the hills overlooking the farm. The pods are fantastic, well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, including an outside BBQ. Absolutely loved our stay and wish we could have stayed for longer. Many thanks Catherine for your fabulous hospitality.

We really loved staying at Cragg Farm Camping pods and would love to go back again if we can. Catherine's farm is the perfect place to have as a base to discover this part of the absolutely stunning Lake District and Catherine goes above and beyond to make your stay in the pod really special. We loved our outside space and table where we could have breakfast, lunch and dinner while enjoying the spectacular view. We've never had a view like the one we had at Cragg Farm from anywhere else we have stayed! We especially loved the sunsets and early mornings. We were also able to do BBQs which for us is always a wonderful part of any holiday. We are a family of four with two boys, 9 and 12. Thank you again Catherine for being so kind and helpful with everything. We really do hope to be able to come back again some day. And we live in Madrid, so that shows just how great our stay was.
