Incredible weekend camping and partying with friends
Medium Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) May 2026 The cleanest campsite we have went stayed at. The staff worked tirelessly night and day to ensure facilities were clean and everyone had a smile on their face. The festival vibes were fantastic and met the needs of the kids and the adults. Drinks were flowing, the dancing was brilliant and everyone had a great time. We will definitely be back to visit again this summer.
Great first stay with little ones
Large Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) May 2026 Went to the charity weekend over bank holiday. Lots to do for the kids, weather was glorious! Would also be nice to go when not as lively as I’m sure it’d be lovely and a different vibe again.

Large Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) May 2026 All in all was very good. Toilets could have been cleaner a bit, but considering we went in peak season, with all the people there, you'd expect some dirtiness.

Large Tent - Large Overflow Field Pitches (Field 2) May 2026 We stayed here for 3 nights on the bank holiday weekend and honestly couldn’t have been more impressed! Great facilities, always kept spotless and topped up with everything you need. Lovely, welcoming staff who were so happy to help with anything we needed.
As we came for the bank holiday, there was so much to do that we actually only went out for one of the days, and spent the rest enjoying the great site and brilliant entertainment / food trucks / fairground style attractions.
We are already planning our trip back!
Fantastic family weekend
Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) May 2026 We go every year for the bank holiday weekend. Fantastic family atmosphere with all the stalls and events they put on. Plenty of clean facilities and great location for family and dog walks. We will be back again next year.

Felt like we camped in a school campus! VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2026 How disappointing! Camping in a field next to 200 teenagers on a D of E expedition! The noise was unbelievable (from 6am until dark), only lucky part was that it was raining so we didn't have to sit outside and listen to them! They congregated under the trees right behind the campervan (for shelter) but the constant squealing and chattering spoiled a lovely peaceful weekend. No one told us we'd be sharing the toilet facilities which were then dirty and smelly and overused! A weekend with teenagers everywhere was not what we expected! Very disappointing.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2026 Have stayed many times at Barn Farm for over more than 40 years and will be back again.
Well situated on the edge of Limestone / Millstone grit landscape there is a variety of countryside environments. The site is on high ground (over 1000 ft above sea level) so can be exposed to weather at times.
The working quarry nearby does make some noise during week days but is not obtrusive.
Two nice pubs in village both offer food but check out opening days during your stay.
Friendly helpful staff keep the site immaculate & although facilities are not the most modern, 5 star hotel standard, they are always maintained & spotlessly clean.

Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) May 2026 This was our first time taking our 22-month-old camping and we couldn't have picked a better place! He absolutely loved seeing the peacocks wandering around, which added a magical feel. The family field had a playground he enjoyed despite occasional rain, and he also loved kicking around his football in the open space. The facilities were clean and I really appreciated the small communal fridge where we could keep my son's milk and fruit. The Nine Sisters stones from the bronze age were only a 20-min walk away, and there were 2 pubs less than a 10-min walk away too (highly recommend the pie at the Red Lion). We'll definitely be back!

Medium Tent - Family Playground Field Non Electric Pitches (Field 4) May 2026 Great stay at this beautiful campsite. Clean, very friendly and lovely warm showers. Nice walks directly from the campsite and only a short drive to more challenging hikes.
Barn Farm is suitable for families, dog owners and is in a good location for the adventurous types.
We were a party four men (all family members) and were made to feel very welcome.

Plenty of showers, toilets and washing facilities - all clean and tidy. Would recommend for a visit to the Peak District and surrounding areas
