About Roey's Retreat Campsite
This family and dog friendly campsite is the ideal location for being within easy reach of some of Devon's most popular attractions. Just five minutes from Clovelly beach and 30 minutes from Summerleaze beach, it is great for enjoying all of the seaside charm that this beautiful county has to offer. The site has both 10 amp electric, and non electric pitches which are available for tents, trailer tents, campervans and touring caravans. All of the pitches measure 6m x 6m and have access to a shared water hook up. For days of family fun, the site is less than a five minute drive from The Milky Way Adventure Park and 15 minutes from Westward Ho! Fire pits and BBQs are both welcome, they are also available to hire. Dogs are welcome, with a maximum of two per pitch.
Roey's Retreat Campsite is open from 01/04 to 30/09.
Onsite facilities include toilets, showers, a children's play area, an undercover seating area and a small shop selling the essentials and alcohol, along with camping equipment to hire. There are picnic benches throughout the site and BBQs and fire pits available to hire.
Woolsery Shop is just a five minute drive from the site and also has a post office. There are three pubs within a five minute drive of the site - The Farmers Arms, The Anchor Inn and the Coach and Horses.

Ideal location for visiting Clovelly. Helpful owners. Toilet & showers basic but adequate- might get busy when more campers (only 2 showers and 4 toilets) Would definitely recommend

Great little site ideal for the SW coastal path. Facilities nice and clean, plenty of hot water. Owners, Nick and Karen, lovely and so helpful. Walk to Clovelly and coast path about 20-30mins. Bus to Bude and to Biddeford picks up right outside.

Stayed for one night, great place, hot water, showers, microwave, kettle. The only downside- cars from the road nearby were too loud.

Things to do on site and in the Bideford area
The site is in the ideal location for spending a holiday lounging on the beach or splashing around in the sea. Instow Beach (20 minutes) is a great dog friendly sandy beach which is great for wind surfing or simply watching the boats in the harbour.
Summerleaze beach is also just a 30 minute drive away and is famous for its surfing and golden sand. The beach also has its own tidal pool which is great for escaping the wavy seas and enjoying a relaxing swim.
Milky Way Adventure Park is situated less than a five minute drive from the site and is the perfect day out for all the family. Enjoy rollercoasters, play areas, dodgems, mini golf, a maze and much more!
Clovely is also just a five minute drive away and is a picturesque fishing village, once owned by the Queen of England. The village clings to a 400 foot cliff and is full of winding cobbled streets and places to eat delicious fresh fish.
