Peaceful and simple!

Chalk Meadow was an ideal campsite for two first-time campers. The site was spacious with large distances between the pitches, the campsite owner (Jim) was extremely helpful and kind. He kept coming to check up on you each day to see how you were doing. The facilities were simple but had all that was necessary for a back to basics stay. What really stood out is the calm and peaceful atmosphere that Jim has fostered into his site. We highly recommend this campsite to anyone desiring a quiet couple of nights away!

Great campsite in a lovely area

Excellent campsite in great location. Large meadows with plenty of space. Basic but clean facilities. Highly recommended!

Friendly family, safe, no frills campsite

We had such a lovely stay at Chalk Meadow. Jim, the owner, is very friendly and helpful, checking in on us regularly, which was appreciated. Basic site with two lovely fields to choose from, showers were lovely and hot with good pressure. Sufficient number of toilets for the site. Nice little washing up area and plenty of rubbish bins around the site. The children have already asked to return to Jim's quiet, friendly campsite next year.

A wonderful stay!

My partner and I had a wonderful 2 night break staying at Chalk Meadow campsite. We found the site easily and were able to set up as soon as we arrived. The campsite was quiet and each tent was well spread out from one another. It was a very friendly atmosphere too. We called Jim the owner when we arrived and he came down to have a chat with us soon after. He was very accommodating and even let us borrow some tent pegs as we had forgotten ours! The facilities were absolutely wonderful. I struggle a lot with cleanliness but I felt comfortable using these facilities, which made our stay even better. The showers were really hot and powerful too, which was lovely. The location is perfect and everything you need is within reach. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back.

Wonderful little campsite

Lovely campsite. Owner really friendly and welcoming. Toilets/showers and washing-up area were clean, tidy and water was lovely and warm. Great location for walks from the campsite. Wonderful place for staying with dogs (we took our 2 Labradors). Already planning our next visit!
